Examination is not a true test of knowledge

Now, there's something that has always puzzled me. People speak of not using proper grammar at some times... and, using it at others. It's as if, somehow, using the correct words... or taking the few seconds required to check your spelling, or composing complete and readable sentences is honestly a difficult thing for them to do.

Really? Yes, those things might be difficult for a seven year-old, in the second grade. But for adults who have been using this same language for their entire lives????
Sometimes typing on cellphones or in places that are fastpaced (like chatrooms) either make looking for spelling and grammar errors difficult, or it makes you take so much time you can't keep up with the conversation.

And some people do have things like dyslexia which make spelling difficult. Some have it so bad they can barely use the internet, others can...just, they have bad spelling.

Ask for clarification. Sometimes it is our perspective that causes us to be unable to understand what someone else is saying. Sometimes our perspective is a result of false impressions acquired by being too trusting of our perceptions. This builds up over the course of a person's life, btw.
I see this is so true. This is why the bible appears to have been totally messed up by our: "this-is-my-stance-anyother-interpretation-is-wrong" approach.

Psychological issue cant affect performance?

Are these researchers kidding us?

Why make it so complicated? If they want to confirm that teenagers start functioning properly 2 hours later than adults, just check to see if the average grades are lower for the first two or three classes each day than for the classes that come later.

What the exams don't show is whether you retain that knowledge after the test is over.
...Or whether you can apply it in a useful or practical way. The extent to which you know something is shown by how you apply what you know. Insight beyond mere facts reveals true knowledge about something.

This is so true. We can all still remember E=MC squared......... But it means nothing. We couldn't really understand it nor apply it to anything if our lives depended upon it.

Many of us "have Bible knowledge" of spiritual scripture in the same silly, useless manner.

the experts that know what e=mc2 is don't use it for uses it neither been proven or disproven. the fact that we survive photon hitting us is a problem for that. the speed of light has infinite energy per that theory, but the fact that light bends under gravity is proof for that theory. a gravity source slows down light and distorts it.

........................ see what I mean?

he has a point. who actually outside of any physicist or related field needs to know that energy=mass time the speed of light squared?
