Futurism 2015

14 Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.

Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You.

Zechariah 14:1-6

This scripture is the nail in the coffin for both, Preterism as well as Messianic Judaism, which claims Jesus is not the Lord God.

What are you talking about? In one sense all that has already happened, or is currently happening. In another sense maybe it's all something to look forward to in our future. Yet I bet we could agree that misinterpreted in a wrong sense, the resultant false expectation of events would never happen.

Behold, the day of the Lord is coming... Thus the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with You. Zechariah 14:1,5

Jesus taught His disciples about His Coming, from these verses in Zechariah.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Luke 21:20
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; Zechariah 14:2

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; Luke 21:25
It shall come to pass in that day that there will be no light; The lights will diminish. It shall be one day Which is known to the Lord—Neither day nor night. Zechariah 14:6-7

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:30-31
Thus the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with You. Zechariah 14:5

Do you believe Zechariah ever prophesied Jesus' first coming? If so, where?

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,

That's the one JLB..:)

Edit: you would think somebody in the crowd would have put two and two together when they saw Jesus riding into town "Lowly and riding on a donkey"

About the same TOB as you would think somebody would put 2 and 2 together reading God's word

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

and where He tells us
Luk_17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Ok. I know I don't need to keep the law of Moses to be saved.

Thanks for sharing.
