Okay, so I haven't seen the video yet but was he actually resisting arrest or threatening the police at all?

He started struggling the moment they had to pull him from his SUV to put handcuffs on him. He stopped while sitting on the sidewalk and answered questions in a hostile manner...lots of profanity and cussing at the officers just trying to get information.

Going to search for it right now but sort of sounds like they're both at fault for overreacting then. It isn't like the guy pulled a gun or anything like Tamir Rice did awhile back even though that is a completely different subject matter.
 
What you're saying, JohnDB, is the reason why a single video is not likely enough to result in a conviction. Yet, a great many people have already convicted the officer and he is not on trial yet. Yes, the video is quite damning but he does have a right to defend himself before an impartial jury. I reserve the right to not declare him innocent or guilty at this time.

You and others will seriously assert this as fact. in this strange world we live in , one man's fact is another man's fiction. Still holding on to some thread of sanity, I will assert this is utter fiction. Whilst we shouldn't believe everything we see , we should believe a lot of what we see. I saw evidence from one camera. I heard there were several phone camera versions of the event. This will prove very useful evidence in court, one would think. Enough to persuade the most stubborn of jury members. I am confident the policeman who murdered Floyd will be found guilty of at least manslaughter. If not it will be a travesty of justice.

More than one prosecutor is calling for charges to be upgraded to 2nd degree murder.

The reason the call for the charges to be upgraded to 2nd degree murder is because it appears very plausible that officer knee went from restraint to intentional murder during that long 9min. Even after his victim announced medical distress and announced the officer's intent was murder.

The damning question will be "Why didn't you change your restraint technique when the victim pronounced his medical distress Officer Knee?"

I wish it was as simple as that. A post on here by "I love" sums it up best. Evil has a way of making itself look morally superior, when it is the opposite. Oh and as if it owns the facts. When deep down, they know the facts are making them look like the fiction makers. On one level it is hilarious. On another, sinister and diabolical.

Such a huge event in American history was hard to ignore . I get that.

Sadly its not ,I,remember the la riots ,also look,up,the watts riots,same area.

I'm,concerned over mob rule and also over zealous counter reaction by the military and or police

that is my point showing the knee on the neck with his hands in his pocket . i have no issue with the restraint . there are leg shackles i have seen prison extraction on video. my wife has a nephew who worked in a medium security prison . the can tie them up where they can do nothing. yet no physical harm . if the man said i cant breath someone should have checked on him.. w e have so many accounts we dont know the full story. what i do know is the riots and looting is no better than the alleged murder.. two accounts on the autopsy the state said no evidence of physical harm causing death . the family had a autopsy done there find physical harm caused the death. this i heard on the news...

what i have seen of it they had move the president to a bunker. several secret service officers was hurt. i hate to be this way . it may take lethal force of course then again another spark . this is serious and if law enforcement officers use force they get fired charges filed no pay check if the courts dont back our law .we will soon have none. it will be like the wild west
 
i am going to vent as i was reading they labeled trump as coward hiding when a threat was at the residence he lives at. if i was in his shoes i would have moved to. there saying his advisers wanted him to do a live cast. call out the military . its a hard call if he calls fed authority to use military . they say eh is being a strong arm .if he dont he is being a bad leader.. imo this entire thing is politically fueled
