outside of the mp corps, the military isn't trained to deal with riots. its better to use the branch of both the airforce and the army that are and often will have members who are police that conduct the training. some being prison guards. which see riots a lot and those are bad. why have a bunch of bodies that need time to train up, one can use the army as a back up, it was done during the la riots.
I have heard that here, the so has warned us of such reports. I know a few that will do just that. I cant blame them. damage my property like that. you wont like mr. bullet when he is mad. he is angry when he must fly . very angry.
i wouldnt suggest that around here .the good ol boys dont take kindly to this

It will cause some neighborhoods to set up armed neighborhood watch groups. And if any strangers show up it just ain't going to work out for them.
People are already on edge with all the quarantine stuff...then add this rioting and looting....call out the national guard and then full blown military troops...some people are going to go all the way off the edge with this stuff.
I think that the President already called out ANTIFA and others like them as being the newest target of a long and deep FBI probe into everything that they have organized and been a part of lately. Just like they went after militias after Timothy McVeigh did his bombing.
Then...I can also see a long and difficult investigation into some of the various media outlets including Twitter for inciting people to riot. Considering the current President's antagonistic relationship with the media...I don't see that going well either.
I lived in New York and New Jersey long before Trump ever made his show on Television...he had a reputation then and has done little (nothing) to swerve from that well deserved reputation as President.
this is very rural southern mo .they are very fond of there Guns. to be honest some out there really could careless . if pressed the end result might not be good . a man on my face book page today encountered some protesters .one of the young men come up to his truck screaming f this that trump. he pulled out his gun told him. get him my truck i will blow your head off . from there a few of them got brave on f.b messenger threatening . family the business he is currently building on a bowling alley . im this group was very young people . around here most everyone knows who is who. a stranger comes in causing issues . he might be surprised

An Aussie wouldn't get it.none is suggested hurting a person with a horn talking ,a sign ,praying and not causing property damage or a harming anyone ,I passed a protestor on,the way to get check reads.I thought she was homeless then I saw the sign

If the Governors or Mayors of cities and states won’t step in to protect the citizens, then the Government needs to step in, otherwise the citizens will form militias to go around killing everyone in these mobs of imported domestic terrorists.

A cop,must control this,do,once you remove the state,then the cops there can't work ,therefore since there is no one to respomd to other issues such as domestic violence ,minor stuff,drug law enforcement and also simple riot break up ,arrest of those who aren't complying but don't warrant a lethal force response .
The guard akready is shooting less then lethal rounds at persons out past curfew .

All these protesters and riots and looting.
My neighborhood was quiet last night and all day yesterday.
But obviously others didn't have the same experience.
One of the police chiefs in Kentucky got fired. A restaurant owner got mistakenly shot during a riot. And when the officers involved were asked for their body camera footage they explained how they weren't turned on.
This absolutely enraged the Mayor to the point where the police Chief got fired.
And I'd have to agree with the Mayor.
ANTIFA members and leadership are "running for cover" today as the FBI is investigating everyone from their cell phone records to email messages. Linking the arrested rioters with the group.
It's going to get difficult for them.
What I don't understand is why BLM groups are complicit with the violent protesters in some areas and in others they are definitely very anti-violence. Don't they control their own?
