Should The Private Ownership of Firecrackers Be Allowed?

Ah well, I really don't care. :shrug Without holding onto them it sort of defeats the purpose in my book. In other words I just find it plain stupid not to. :rolleyes
now you get where im coming from. I got hold and chuck a lit fire cracker after it was lit onto the road. I didn't get to play with a roman candle until later on.

I haven't thought of those memories in years. 8 or 9 on twin lakes as a boy near the island where they would launch. sadly because some law that had to do as many communities did this and the county and city along with dodgertown(permit was mandatory) started the fireworks at memorial island and veterans park in sebestian.

Oh and by the way, just for your information I just read the description on my sparklers' box and mine says to hold the sparkler with your arm extended. So obviously you are supposed to hold it, you just have to hold it far enough away from you.

I know of a man who doesn't use hiss mirrors...

The man needs a refresher course in safety. Mirrors are there for a reason.

My car has mirrors, windows, and a camera. I use all of them. Each adds a bit that the others don't. Its best to keep aware of all objects whose vector may intercept with your own. The more tools to help you do that, the better. When they come up with affordable 3D radar that keeps track of all objects near you, I will be happy about it. More is better.

So you will keep yourself trained when your gps operated robot car fails and sufficient enough to drive it .thar requires practice.pilots train on this often and flew hours on no auto pilot on cessnas.when a jet hit's turbulence the pilots take over.

What I have been saying and you just agreed.

That's not what I am suggesting. I am suggesting a safety test. At least for the dangerous stuff.
My state already had permits for commercial fireworks, the ban was over Fire from its use, dumb idiots hurting themselves with the weaker rockets.

Yes, it does take practice to maintain driving skills. Robot cars are not yet ready. I don't trust them yet. I do like my back up camera though. It adds useful information. It gives an extra vantage point that mirrors and windows don't cover adequately. Use all of them, not just the camera.

I have no problem with agreeing with you Jason. You are a smart man.

Yes, a safety test would help keep stuff away from silly people. Not a ban on mild stuff, because most people can use them responsibly.

It's really not that way in the eyes of the govt.5 people in one year died from stupidity ,and they banned it all them even know I have to lie to buy firecrackers,in my youth I got those at publix,Winn dixie, local convience stores. To include roman candles .now I must wait for a special tent set up,read that meter today or travel 40 miles.
