God does not love all people

See, this is where your theology becomes confusing, cluttered and unnecessary. You just described what we all did to come to Christ - to accept His gift of salvation.

In other words, 'election' means nothing. It's all terminology, nothing more.

Sorry if I confused you or anyone else.

The choice was made by God before he made the world. Christ came and justfied his people. When one is called, what a great and wonderfull day that is. The day a dead sinner was Given new life. From that point foward, the redeemed child of God can tell others how great God is. And who knows if such things will reach another of his lost sheep and then another precious soul belongs to the body of Christ. God's word will not return Void but will accomplish what God wants it to when he wants it to. WE can but declare the truth while here in this world. Such an honor and a privalage to be able to do so. It is ALL of God from begining to end. Thats why Jesus said in Rev. 1:8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the begining and the ending."

"Thou art worthy, O lord to recieve glory and honor and power: for thou has created ALL things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created'
Rev. 4:11

In regard to Judas all God had to do was pick someone who loved money so much they would sell out even the Son of God. Judas was already a "devil" of sorts before he was picked.

Scripture? Jesus called him friend, the devil did not enter in until Judas took the bread after Jesus said someone would betray me. That was His choice, as I am sure at one time Judas was just as excited as everyone with Jesus.

For God so loved the elect, that He gave His only begotten Son, that the predestined ones who believe shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Probably from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, that is, decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively [morally]): - adorning, world./(Strongs)

Uhh, not sure what version you're reading? All the versions I've read have world where you have elect. I have posted Strongs translation of the word for your perusal. The greek. ??

Brother, if you read the King James through the eyes of a preconceived false doctrine of election, then this verse will be more clear.

Translated: I was being sarcastic! :help

Your false election Doctrine has been Myth Busted!!!! leaving out scriptures, twisting thing around is a bad thing to do.

MYTH BUSTA, BUSTED!!! :shocked!

Brother Mike, MYTH BUSTER!!!!

This is Serious stuff, not a game or idle talk and our eternal destiny is at stake...

How can that be if you are the "elect" and OSAS.

That is what I'm trying to get him to explain. On one hand, he tells us God made up His mind eons ago. THEN he tells us our eternal destiny is at stake - WHAT STAKE?

Did God make up His mind for us or not?

At this point, I am unsure of what Josef believes AND what "election" means.

At this point it is irrelevant.

Jesus knew before then (last supper) that one of them was a devil. Judas helped himself to the money bag and was noted as a thief. Its clear to me he loved money more then God. God's purpose was ordained (Jesus on the cross) but Judas made his own choices.

Agreed, God never made a spirit, planned for a spirit, or ordained a spirit to be put into a person for failure. Man has always made the choice despite what God had planned. We can choose the plan and perfect path of God which is fully laid out or we can walk in the path of darkness out of the will of God.

Choose who you will serve this day, for it's recorded in heaven. Choose to be blessed or choose to be cursed. Choose to have life or choose death. It is recorded by what we say (Matt 12) and what we take action to. Speaking and/or Actions denotes our choice.

If God knew ahead of time what that choice might be, there would bare no recored or hand written ordinance for or against us. If God elected our choices then we would not have been told to choose. It's really simple to understand. No scripture will ever contradict another no matter what religious doctrine your stuck in.

Sad, Judas did not take the hint at that comment of Jesus and change his money bag grubbing ways. The Lord knew he was stealing and just allowed him to think he had not been caught. Very interesting on how we would have responded.

If a chosen one never hears of Jesus - is that one lost or does he make it anyway?

Ok, so Josef won't answer. Let me answer for him.

There are three answers:

1) If a "chosen one" does not ever come to Jesus, he is not saved. With this answer, the whole theology of "election" means nothing - there is no difference between one who believes this and the rest of us. It is just a confusing and unnecessary exercise.

2) If a "chosen one" does not ever come to Jesus, he is still saved cause he's chosen. With this answer, the theology of "election" becomes a different gospel. A REALLY different gospel.

3) The non-answer. This is where the one promoting this confusing and odd theology does respond, but cannot actually answer the question, they are trapped by their own confusing and odd theology. You can expect pages of bible verses, complexity, stressed and tired theology and (probably) the invention of new terms (or the possible mis-use of conventional terms) that never sets in your mind just WHAT this person is preaching. It will occur to you that even they may not really know why they are promoting this theology.

I had a friend back in Michigan that promoted this theology back in the 90's. I know he fell away from the church, but I lost track of him and don't know anything more than that.

Ok I choose answer 3.

Just for the record (Eccl. 12:13-14) we find that many will be saved by no personal knowledge of Christ, but do know Him through His Nature!

Rom. 2:14-15...
[14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
[15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.

God means what more could they do than what the Holy Spirit 'Led' them to do?? Rom. 8:14

No one will be saved without personal knowledge of God. That verse doesn't even come close to suggesting that.

Jesus Christ always brings someone with his word to his lost sheep at the appointed time....".How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed.? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent. As it is written HOW BEAUTIFUL are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things:......Romans 10:14 and 15 And they are odained(his people) for that purpose. "As many as were ordained to eternal life believed.."........Acts 13:48

Some men were ordained to condemnation? Did God love these men?...............For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ORDAINED to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the GRACE of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ..................Jude:4

Basicly, all of God's choosen, bloodbought children will hear the gospel at the time appointed by god and will be given his spirit.....You must be Born again. Not one will fail to come to God when he calls ,because they were choosen in him before the world was formed , justifed and redeemed by him to such a wonderfull paln of salvation and how beautiful it is to be included in ANY part of his powerfull , perfect Salvation plan. We worship an amazing, powerfull and Soverign God. To him be ALL the glory, honor, and praise now and forever. HE will not fail!
