Goodnight...God Bless.

there's a lady here with daughter who got bb in their mattress from a uhaul truck. (free)
they search and searched and searchest online (because they can't use chemical due to extremeE sensitivities )
and found to their (later delight) bedbug powder. (secretly called DE EARTH).

they sprinkled it all over the bedding mattress carpet etc
That sounds like it would be a substance called "Diatomaceous Earth". It is soil harvested from waters rich in an organism known as "diatoms", a type of phytoplankton with a very tough cell wall made largely of silica. The earth below such waters becomes enriched with this silica material as the diatom populations die off. At a microcsopic level this silica material can be seen to have sharp, jagged edges which serve as a mechanical hindrance to small organisms such as bed bugs; basically it cuts up their legs, and they die (can also be used as a non-chemical defense against ants).

Check the ingredients on your tube of toothpaste, also. Toothpaste often contains food-grade DE, as it is an excellent mild abrasive for polishing hard enamel.
