Google Captcha

My friend just called to confirm if Nokia C2 is a 3G phone. I did: 'Nokia C2' on google search and got a result: Captcha :bigfrown

My sarcastic humor aside, just what all did you try to get on the network with? Just one computer, or did you try other computers, or maybe iPads, other wifi devices, etc etc?

This should be easy to troubleshoot. If several computers do it and they each get the Captcha, then chances are it's the network. If only one computer does it, then you may have a virus on it. If it's the former, then it's time to get tech help for the network and find out what's going on here. You should not have to put up with that this long.

The exception, and I'm being serious, is if you have several of the same kind of computer and they are all infected. So I would try different Operating systems, eg. a Mac, Android, Linux etc.

Classik! :shocked what did you do??? :bigcry

In my previous post I ditched the sarcasm because I'm starting to see this person's really hurtin' with computer problems. I know --- I've been there and done that, and that's why I switched to the OS I have now. I got tired of the viruses, the slow-ups, the resource hoggishness, the errors and so on and in my early computer days, I paid $300 for someone to remove a virus and a month later it was back again. It got to the point we dropped the Internet and went back to the stone age without a computer for awhile because it was so frustrating. Later on I took A+ cert and learned how to build these things, but it was still frustrating to use it for one hour, then fix it for 5 hours over and over again. My ex "sister-in-law" used to call me weekly to clean out another virus, and feelings got hurt when I made the comment 'Well maybe some people don't deserve a computer'. But looking back, it was not her fault and I take passionate issue against people who say "well if you use your brain and don't click on just anything you would not get viruses". I used to be a pompous asteroid with such an opinion, until they happened to me. Like I always quip, must I repeat the 5 simple ways to get viruses all over again? And if I list them, I'll bet my retirement account that critics cannot claim it was stupid behavior.

These days, the only thing I consider stupid is paying for and staying with an OS that is an obvious disaster. But hey, if someone's practicing to be a monk and are trying to develop patience, then a viral-prone OS is the way to go. But I could not take it any longer, and threads like this only prove my point.

I use other networks and they work fine. The problem is they are way too expensive. On mobile phone alone I consume 1000mb data size withing few days. This network seems to save me alot of money. (that should give you an idea how much data I consume if solely on a computer).

I had to update my opera browser yesterday. No problem with it.

(The network is the problem...I think in order to control traffic they've slowed down or have disabled certain browsers)

So... just to make sure we're on the same page, you are saying that this so-called problem network gives the Captcha no matter what you connect to it? Right?

Actually, it has been around for a number of years. Here is the link to the new 2013 version: http://www.bitdefender.com/media/ht...=bitdefender&gclid=CPiaw-qiz7ICFclM4Aod3ikAVw.

It is a bit pricey, but well worth it for what it does. Not only does it have anitvirus and antispam, but it also has utility software that helps clean out your registry and other things.

Before I installed it I was getting this wierd popup every time I would start windows that would reference a missing dll file. Well, when I installed this and ran the utility program it fixed it. I was just about to reinstall windows, but that saved me from having to do so.

Tim, I wasn't being sarcastic, just trying to lighten it up a bit by kidding about someone kicking the door in to arrest him :) I know how it is to have computer problem and sometime it helps to laugh. I should have used this ;) to show I wasn't serious about that statement.

Classik,
I really do feel bad you are going through this. It's so frustrating! If I had any idea what the problem really was I'd help you in a heart beat. But hopefully you know that by now :)

I would say yes 'cause other networks are ok

Hmmmm. Sounds to me like you aren't truly connecting another computer to the problem network, but rather switching the same computer and another one seems to be OK.

It does sound sort of like the network, but I'd still try another computer just to make sure instead of being infected and giving network admins or other such help some grief. And not to be sarcastic, but dead serious I'd invite a friend with a Mac or something with a different OS as well. If that gives the captcha, then you can definitely say it's the network.

But from the way you are wording things, it sounds to me like you are only experiencing it on your one computer and only your computer alone. That still makes me suspicious it could be the computer.

It's funny that I'd have to go through a captcha in every about 2/19 searches made. At the end it let's me through. :lol
Thanks, Tim for your amazing concern. May the world of soccer bless you :lol And may Gates visit you. ;)

Now when we write only one chap ha then site show chap ha arror.
