Guns in the house and Suicide

Of course that argument justifies having readily available means to end one's life right in the home. Of course you are going to say that. Denial and rationalising is a never-ending story.
Denial of what? I haven't denied anything, have I? Humble, are you considering options for suicide? If so, please seek out someone that you can talk to. There are people that love you and are ready to help and of course God loves you.

A thinly disguised way of heaping scorn on my post. Moderator too. Tsk tsk

It really sounds like you have a problem with firearms and your opening post was not intended to discuss the issues of suicide but rather promote anti-gun rhetoric.

I think I'm going to back out of this discussion for it seems you are becoming more aggressive toward me or trying to troll me into someplace I do not want to go.

It's a hot topic for you Wip, so you'd be better advised to stay away from it. Just press "unwatch thread". It's easy.
The classic "you are being aggressive" is just desperation. You've run out of aces.

Can I keep talking?! What can I say, Brother? You've accidently let yourself be overcome by the propaganda machine. The only way for taking away anyone's guns or swords would work, is if they layed down their guns too...and the entire earth turned to God in repentance and for guidance.

Now since we know that's not going to happen, the least we can do is to look at this from a spiritual & biblical perspective. One easy way to do that is to read the OT because their are all sorts of examples of how the people reacted to various situations. Take Nehemiah chapter 4 for instance. The Israelites had limped back to Jerusalem and were rebuilding their wall around the city and all of their enemies did not like this aggressive action so planned to go and hinder their actions in rebuilding the wall with hit and run raids. Interesting. They were out numbered and needed armed soldiers to protect the workers on the wall.

Nehemiah 4
6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

7 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

8 And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it...

But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

So now imagine that nowadays, our enemies are not called Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites..., it is more like, democrats, BLM, Terrorists, Ruling Elite, Anti-gunners, Fems & lbgtqrx's? and stuff like that to hinder us, to hinder our President.

So they're out in the field in their positions...and they yell up to us, Hey we heard a few of your men suicided by sword. Well, lay down your swords so that the man next to you can not harm himself...and we will protect you!!!

Brother...with all due respect...are you out of your mind to consider that tripe?! Deception Brother, that is their primary tool. It is, insane. But how did the Israelites respond? Did they lay down their swords?

13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

16 And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.../

So they recognized that the "counsel" that they were given was dumb. So they just carried on with what they were doing and continued to do their work, except everyone was armed to the teeth...

I'm thinking that's about as conclusive an example as can be be given for us. So don't be deceived by their propaganda Brother. You're smarter than that. May I also request that, if, you choose to debate my post somehow, that you use a biblical example instead of personal opinion? That be fair, right?

he is likely unaware that in our nation cops are encouraged or required by their agency to carry at all times .my county does.

somehow the cop having the higher suicide rate on par with the vets doesn't commit suicide by gun ?

I guess so.

I knew it was hard to see me objectively. Hence the defensive labelling.
pray tell how exactly and unemployed man ,a divorced man ,a person having trauma should protect himself when the cops can't ?

those are. at risk persons for suicide .at risk doesn't nor should it imply that one is suicidal . the va has denied healthcare ti known persons in these category and they take their lives ,
