Hello,

I am a long time Christian that has had some health issues come in and out of my life. Lately I have been feeling very weak, faint, tired, sick to my stomach. I left work early today and went to the doctor. They ran some blood work and will have to get back to me. In the mean time they prescribed me some medication for an anxiety issue that I suffer with. I really hate feeling this ill and especially missing work. I have been feeling this way for about 3 weeks and I don't think it is just a typical bug that I can shake off.

Please pray that this medicine works and that I am able to get better asap. I have a busy life with family and I hate it when I'm prevented from keeping up with it.

I am very sorry to hear about that .... I will definitely be praying for you.
Many times in a Christian's life, poor health is the result of underlying spiritual issues. Don't be surprised that it could just be emotional problems or stress, fear or anxiety you are dealing with, which the devil can use for its evil purposes to exploit and aggravate with fever or illnesses. I pray God will reveal the root cause of your illness so that you can tackle it and be set free once and for all ! In the meantime, pray and declare Psalm 91 everyday. It is truly one of the best scriptures for a Christian when he is sick.

I know how I feel when I simply have a few sick days. I get down, because I feel unproductive.

Since you were so busy, have you considered that this may be God having you slow down? I know it's horrible to feel the way you feel, but perhaps that's what it took to get you to recognize a busy lifestyle.

I prayed just now that you would experience a full recovery, but also that you learn what He wants to come of it.

Thanks for your replies. In regards to my busy life, I have it pretty simiplified with work and family, both of which I know that God wants me to be active in. I just have been feeling ill pretty consistantly for about 3 weeks now and I am a bit scared that it might be more serious than just a bug. I can barely function. I had a terrible appendicitis about 6 years ago where I started to go into shock and I was very ill. I feel the same sort of way, but all I can do it wait for my blood work to come back next week.

Thank you for showing me Psalm 91, I will pray that.

Lord heal this man and i claim it for him. Lord in word it says that we have a sound mind. amen

believe the word of the lord and no the word of a doctor. yes you may have an illness but the bible says that if you ask and believe the lord you will be healed. does this mean it will be now? maybe not. trust the lord and focus on him, and let the lord use you and teach you in this time of fleshly suffering(not to negate you circumstance).

Thank you so much. Please continue to pray. I am really really feeling sick. I feel like I am faint, weak, going to pass out, very ill to the core and yet I look healthy on paper. I'm scared and I feel like crying since I am kind of out of ideas. I can barely make it though work and my family is stressed out because I am sick. I have asked my friends to pray for me. I have kind of had a history of health problems, but this one makes me feel like I'm going to die.

Pretty much the only thing I can do is wait...

OK now I'm convinced that this is a SPIRITUAL ATTACK. I know because the exact same thing happened to me about 5 years ago. I was admitted in hospital and all kinds of tests, medication and treatment were administered to me with NO positive results at all. They even put me in an isolated ward as they thought I was down with SARs or Bird flu or something ... All the doctors could diagnose was that I was having a "virus" attack. They always say that when they cannot find a cause for your sickness. ..... I wasted tons of money on hospital bills for nothing !!

You see, this is how the devil works to kill, steal and destroy. :devil .... He robs you of your health, wealth, joy and sanity. I was finally healed when my home fellowship group banded together and fasted and prayed for me. I am glad to testify that today I am a healthy and wealthy person completely healed and delivered of all sickness and demons. AND I have learned how to identify and overcome demonic attacks.

Take heart, Rick. If God can help me, surely He will help you too. I will pray for you.

Oh my goodness! This is insane! Check this out.

About 15 mins ago I was talking with my wife who mentioned that this might be more spiritual than physical. I am also involved in a Christian pregnancy crisis center and it was brought to my attention that many of the other members are having "issues" or problems of their own. Satan is totally at work here. It makes me SICK (in more than 1 way).

I struggle with skeptisim and have usually been the last to admit that a problem was spiritual, but after seeing my health rapidly decline for no apparent reason and being involved in a couple Christian orgaizations I totally see evil at work. It appears that the harder I push to better the Kingdom of God, the harder the enemy fights back.

... scary...

Please, all the prayer I can get during this time the better.

May our God of all comfort let his Holy Spirit pour comfort and hope and peace into your soul as you trust in Him. For He is a very present help in your time of trouble dear brother. I ask our Father in heaven for your healing~ that the virtue of His power would flow into your body and mind and soul and give you restoration and rest~ Surely~ He is awesome in ability to perform it and He is also full of grace and mercy toward His children. I ask that Jesus will minister to you very intimately in your time of need as you boldly come seeking mercy from His throne of grace. In Jesus name I ask it. :amen

I pray these verses from His word will minister in your trial~

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

James 5:14 gives us clear direction in illness: Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

I pray you will go to church and let your head be anointed~

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1Peter 4:12+13

There is one more thing I wish to remind you of~ for I always need reminding of this whenever I suffer. We sons of God are being formed into the image of Christ, and this is a mighty wonderful work of God. So then~ look up dear saint, and see your heavenly Father, a pure and holy being, spotless, just, perfect. Do you remember that he is making you "like" him? Do we think it will be an easy thing to be conformed into His blessed image?

Recently, my grandson and our family watched the miracle of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Have you seen it recently? It is amazing... and it looks painful, and yet tremendously beautiful~ I believe when we put on the incorruptible body we will have been through this kind of transformation internally, spiritually.

Thank you very much for all your prayers and help. What happened is that AI had a TERRIBLE reaction to my medicine. It was SO bad that I literally thought I was going to die. I went to my prayer group and had them lay hands on me and pray. It was there that God showed me that I only had 99% trust and that in order to be free I had to give Him 100%. I can't tell you how much better I feel.

God can turn the most aweful situation into the most glorifying.
