We've been over this a million times. How is it that you're asking this question again? Read Gen. 2:7What did God breath into Adam?

Well, there are literally pages on which you can find that. I've said it so many times you can probably pick any page in the thread and find it.I think I know what Genesis 2 states.
What did God breath into Adam?
The answer should be only a few words.
I don't read every post,,,and it seems like you're changing your idea....Well, there are literally pages on which you can find that. I've said it so many times you can probably pick any page in the thread and find it.
I have, multiple times. I have multiple times to you. I've explained it over and over.I don't read every post,,,and it seems like you're changing your idea....
Why won't you answer???
I don't think you and I ever discussed immortality.I have, multiple times. I have multiple times to you. I've explained it over and over.
It's clear. Paul said the Father alone has immortality. You argue that that is wrong. I can only conclude that you don't believe the Scriptures.
I know why. They've been taught it.No one agrees with you.
Try to figure out why.
Reading the passage.Who taught you?
Some people refuse to accept what they read.P
Only you can read?
One last chance:
What did God breath into Adam?
OKThe problem is that people are taught long before they read the Bible that man consists of three parts. This idea was around before Jesus was born. You know who believes this? The Greeks. They beleived that man was a spirit living in a flesh body and when that body died the spirit was freed and ascended into the heavens to god. Does that sound familiar? It's the same thing Chridtians claim today. However, do you know who DIDN'T believe that? The Jews. The people who had had God's word for several thousand years. Now, one has to wonder why it is that the people who had God's word beleived that man was flesh and not a spirit that ascended into the heavens. However, the pagans beleived that man was a spirit and ascended into the heavens. Since the Jews has God's word it's probably likely that they had a better understanding of what a man is than the pagans who had to guess.
What was true then is true now. And yes, the Pharisees believed in an afterlife. That was the Resurrection.OK
I really have to go.
But, yes, I know everything you wrote above.
But did you ever hear of progressive revelation?
The pharisees believed in an afterlife.
The question is, , , do we believe Jesus or not?
More tomorrow...
God "forms" the spirit within man. Another God will not be formed. God is Spirit. The word human isn't even in the Greek or Hebrew text. It's simply the translators opinion. You see, this is where translator bias becomes a real problem. The translator believes man is a spirit and as such he injects this belief into his translation. People read this, assume it's correct, and now they misunderstand the Bible. Can you see how easily millions of people can believe things that are wrong?
So, once again we see that there is one spirit in man and that is the breath of life. There is no "human spirit".
Man is flesh.
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (Gen. 3:1 KJV)
For dust you are. Not, for a spirit you are.
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. (Gen. 6:3 KJV)
God saying man is flesh. Not, for he is spirit.
Jesus will never die, true. That's because the Father gives Him life.
Yes, and that spirit is the breath of life. That's clear in Genesis. There is no "human spirit". Youd do much better with a literal translation.God "forms" the spirit within man. Another God will not be formed. God is Spirit.
1 Cor 2:11
For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Not only does it not exists, a Catholic Priest in my town apologized to the congregation during a Mass, about 3 years ago, telling them that the church had mislead them and that hell does not exist because the word HELL is not in the bible.
After some investigation, I come to find out that this priest believes in annihilation.
Those that are saved go to heaven.
Those that are lost just disappear into nothingness never to be heard of again.
Someone else I know....believes that hell exists but is temporary and short lived and the person also then disappears into nothingness.
Jesus spoke of hell.
So how could it not exist?
He said there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Do you believe hell exists?
Please use scripture.
