I am a type of Pagan from the Florida swamplands, and I came here because I am always interested in learning about people who are different from myself. I'm sure that we will all have an interesting and educational,...or at least amusing...time together.

Yes, I have read through your rules, and although I can see myself accused of inadvertently/accidentally breaking some of them, I'll never the less just have to stumble along and see where this adventure takes us[smile].

GM, you have broken none of the rules in the ToS. The note in my post was to promote awareness, foreknowledge, so that you do not break them in the future. :yes

Thanks for clarifying that you are not one of those "little green men". Narrowing you down to being a naturally born earth person is just the start in getting to know you. It's also a bit of a relief. ;)

Greetings Green Man,

Christians are told to be considerate to "strangers in their gates," meaning those who come by and want to be sociable. There is a story behind that, of course - because the Jews were strangers too. In ages past, when they were in Egypt they were strangers -- and so we are told to be the kind of people that are welcoming and tolerant of others.

It gets tricky here on the forum, especially in the Apologetics section, because that's a place where debate is openly encouraged and members oftentimes take a strong stance when defending their positions.

For now and speaking for myself, I'd just like to welcome you, stranger -- and give you my word that you will be treated with respect. You've already met Mike and Nick - both are moderators that you can feel comfortable with --> to send private messages and discuss things. Feel free also to remind me of my promise to treat others with respect if it ever looks like I need to hear the Word of God (even from the mouth of a pagan) -- He [The Lord] can and does use everybody for good purpose.

I like your expectation of an "interesting and amusing" time to be shared. I know very little of the Florida swamplands, perhaps even less than I do about pagan religion. I was born and raised in the opposite corner of the good ol' USA - in the Pacific Northwest and currently live in Bellingham, about as far north and west of you as possible without going to Alaska. I'm aware that my thoughts about "swamplands" are in all likelyhood merely stereotypes that have nothing to do with reality so pardon my ignorance and let me again say, "Welcome, Green-man."
