Hello and welcome aboard Essenaut. Hope you find what you are seeking with us.
Hello and welcome to our little nook.Hello.
I've come to this forum to see where things go. Currently I'm in a nihilist mindset, and don't want to settle for nihilism. So I've come here in hopes of spiritual seeking. I figured I'd say hello, before I go on lurking this board.
...maybe you could tell them what a nihilist is...
Also in not interested in debate either, and my growing nihilism often makes me not care about debating because I don't see any worldview making progress. Especially in christendom which has more division and debate than any other worldview, but it exists in the same manner as the others either way. All things go on the same. There's too much to explore cerebrally to care. So thusly all debate is nothing more than rhetoric to me, and I have no interest in that. It's not that I'm not open to hearing, but rather that there's too much hearing to sort through to care. I'm just hoping if I put myself in a spiritual environment and there's a God that there will be an organic spiritual pull of some sort, because I want there to be something greater than this empty existence....Were not much into debating...
Thank you for your honesty. For a real short answer by nihilism I mean that I don't see purpose or meaning in anything, so nothing matters. And I don't want that. If I exist, I want meaning. And I don't even want to settle for "you gotta give your life purpose" because at the end of the day it's just a subjective illusion.

I can relate for a long time I kept trying to find "meaning" and "a purpose" for my life at first I just wanted to reunite with one side of my family that I didn't much get to be around but, even that "wasn't enough" afterward I buried my head in video games and eventually sinned n multiple ways,it is certainly tough "without purpose" or with no "pointing you in a general direction to go" because it can lead to "misery".For a real short answer by nihilism I mean that I don't see purpose or meaning in anything, so nothing matters. Sadly, this is true, but I believe this is an indication of how passionate Christians feel about their faith. It's also a product of Christianity being less about rigid rules that must be followed than other belief systems which dictate every point that must be accepted. That said, I would say the various factions of Islam warring against each other put our disagreements in perspective.Especially in christendom which has more division and debate than any other worldview, but it exists in the same manner as the others either way.
ThanksHere is a belated welcome to CFnet
I'd love to see a response to StoveBolts' question to you.
Have you experienced traumatic loss in your life?
I'm sorry you've experienced tragidy. I personally know what it feels like to experience great loss, and the light in the tunnel is just another train coming to run over what's left of your broken shell. Thanks
I thought I answered that question, but yes I did experience loss in the past year, plus other personal things. That's as much as I'll say.
