Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

Lovingly I say this to all who read the posting of mine... [[it is your post that 'i' do not like!]] For instance when 1 John 2:7-8 is penned it surely explains itself?? John did not change the priesthood!!

John never had the authority to change the priesthood neither did the levites have the authority to change the law.
DOES ANY ONE REMEMBER WHAT THE REBELLION KORA WAS ABOUT OR DID YOU SKIP THAT PART OF YOUR BIBLE??

It was about ONE thing... God gave His top man the Keys to HIS OBEDIENCE! [[The Lord]]
(And even this was conditional)

Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

Yea,... just because Peter had the keys doesn't mean the had the authority to change the law or the conditions of the covenant. Only Jesus had that right , according to Gods will.

At least that is what I believe.

I never said that he did!! Matt. 18:15-19 has Christ DOCUMENTING who has the keys for all time! (but that is still on condition of OBEDIENCE!)

Matt. 18
[15] Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

[16] But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

[17] And if he shall neglect to hear them, [[[tell it unto the church:]]] but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

[18] Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I'm sorry I thought thats where you were going with that, you didnt specify scripture, I shoulnt have assumed. But I've heard that before.

My apologies :nod

So this means that God gave ( JESUS / his top man ) authority over the keys to the kingdom under the condition that,....
Whom ever may be granted access to the kingdom by the unlocking from these keys,....
they would have to be obedient to GOD.

I think thats correct as to what you are saying. and I can definatly agree to that .

Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

Well now, it is good to find at least one in agreement on here!;)

A Site that is still all learning after 120 years of Noah's Preaching & the Holy Spirits STRIVING? Did I say all? Not quite so, for one dead penman, said that there are more outside than are inside! And one guy said that he was asking a question about the Son of God because he did not know the answer? Yet, this is not what most hear on sites, most do not apply their vast knowledge to the Eccl 3:14 verse along with the ending of the Rev. verses, that if after having their name once recorded in the Lambs BOOK of Life it is conditional and will be removed unless the ending is such.

Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

And what does this mean? Peter and/or his sucessors could change anything? What this really means is that Christ has given the church the authority to make rulings that are not covered in scripture. Here is an example, is it OK to use electricity on the Sabbath? There are people working in facilities that produce and distribute power. Are you causing them to break the Sabbath? This question is not addressed in the scripture, so the church has the authority to make a decision on this matter based on scriptural principles. The "Primacy of Peter" false doctrine does NOT give the church the authority to change doctrine or the Priesthood.

Not you, but many do, in fact there is a great universal church that is founded on this premise.

the catholic church. of course.

Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

Our saboth and rest is in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We rest in his finished work. We are not under the old Testament Laws and we cannot keep the laws perfect no mater how hard you try. They show us our sinfull nature. Thank God for his mercy grace and rest. Anyone who tells you you must do this or that to be saved does not rest in him, but rather works to be accepted in his sight. No one is accepted in God's sight except Jesus Christ. Thats why we need a saviour who has mercy on his elect. His blood bought children, whom he adopts, will give him all the honor, praise and glory due his precious name.

That is the doctrine of Jehovah Witness's! But there must be more to be said for the animals also are to rest Isa. 65?, (V. 25) + Isa. 66:22-23 has it stated the New Heaven & Earth! 'from one Sabbath to another' ... 'shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.'

Dan. 7:25 is what it sounds like to me! That is the only commandment that has anything to do with creation week! But whatever, it is your free choice to make???

Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

that isn't the doctrine of the Jehovah's witness. sheesh they don't believe in eternal security or that one is even born again unless one is part of the 144,000.they are legalistic as they come.

1) don't vote
2) don't donate blood
3) don't be a cop, judge or serve in the army
4) don't celebrate any pagan holiday
5) the trinity is pagan
6) only we the 144,000 can tell you what the bible says
7) jesus died on the stake, he wasn't a diety but an archangel
8)soul sleep, no hell, only the baptized Jehovah's witness are raised to live on the earth while the 144,000 reign in heaven
9)millenialists
but a few things of what they teach.

Re: -How Does God Desire The Keeping Of HIS &th Day Sammath-

If the OP is referring to the Sabbath (he said sammath)...

This entire Church age is one long sabbath rest from war with God. The day of the week we observe or keep as a day of rest matters not. We are all priests of God as Christians and priests work on Sabbath...

Matthew 12:5 (NASB95)
5 “Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?

We are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16)
We are priests of God (1 Peter 2:3-11 / Revelation 1:6 / Revelation 5:10).

Shabbat Shalom, mishpokhe / khaveriym!
