How Machiavellian are you?

This 20 question quiz/survey looks fun. You get a score out of a 100. Ive only recently become interested in Machiavelli. Ive managed to stay naïve all my life. its time I woke up perhaps? Please delete this thread if its either too political or unchristian.

I scored 60 exactly.
60 or over is considered a High Mac. Below 60 is a low Mac.
If I was a High Mac. I would have had more success as a leader? is that true? the fact is I was a poor leader for a number of reasons not outlined here.
Maybe I am more devious than I give myself credit for. Who me, manipulative? I wouldn't hurt a fly.....but I would hurt a mosquito and actually I don't like flies either.

Ok...looked it up.
I'm fairly honest and transparent.
I don't bandy about with a feather or am very deceitful. I don't tell you what I think that you want to hear.
I am not charismatic...but I can tell a good story.
I can lead...but not in that sort of way.

51.

Jaded I am,trust people I do not

one of the main debatable points we get from Machievelli is:
"the end justifies the means".
so from our Christian pov, the end never justifies the means?
I am trying to think of a good example......
"If by executing one person we could get a vaccine that cures or prevents the corona virus, could we justify that? Sacrifice one in order to save tens of thousands ?
you might not be happy with that example...think of another one then.
Maybe wondering knows more about the Italian Machiavelli. go head.

What does Machiavellian mean anyway?
I will try to give simple answer.

Not afraid to be cunning in leadership position.
prefer to be feared than loved.
the ends always justify the means.. (can do a bad deed to achieve a good end)
being sneaky rather than transparent

I don't remember anything about him and what his name implies!
You certainly know more about him than I do.

I got 56 on the test so I'm a low Mach.
I had to state that sometimes it's necessary to tell a lie but that's because
we had to say many when my autistic granddaughter was growing up...
otherwise I believe it's always better to be honest.

As to the executing one person question to get a cure....
this is a philosophical question which goes like this:
If you were on a train heading toward 100 persons, would you be able to pull the stop throttle if it could save the 100 but the train would hit 5 persons due to your decision?

Personally, I don't think we'd know what we would do in ANY situation, unless we were confronted with it.

Scored 27
There are many versions of this test with differing themes/topics. Simply, they are known as honesty tests. This one is unique in that it mixes integrity with morality. It attempts to blur moral absolutes into situational ethics. A dishonest person will score very high (winning=losing). Most people will score between 40-60 on these types of tests. They are best administered spontaneously and blind to ensure the integrity of the answers. Your score is beautiful and reflects your absolute love and adherence to TRUTH. Bless you Tessa. Those in love with the Truth are my favorite people.

i agree but that might be a politician's answer too. ?
