I agree, if I understood you properly. Some people object to what they see as Christians "forcing our values down their throats". Well, if, in a democratic society, Christans use the ballot box to change the world to fit what they see as the ideal model of how a society is to be run, how is that force?

The point is this: Society needs to be ordered, and somebody's values are going to be used. Christians should not be bullied (or tricked) into thinking that our values have any less "right" to compete for broad adoption in society than anybody else's.

And note: In Great Britain, it was Christians who arguably led the movement that achieved the abolition of slavery. Was this an example of the church forcing our values down other people's throats?

That is why society favors liberalism, not because it is good or bad, but simply that the majority believe this to be the best.

er no, thats what liberals mistakenly think. In fact in the UK government only usually gets about 40% of the vote.
And the thread is about various agendas, they mostly conflict each other. what liberalism does is exclude agendas it doesnt like under the banner of diversity. (which is of course the opposite of diversity)

And only liberals see religious matters as something separate, religious people dont.

The world (people) will continue in their evil ways as they continue in disobedience and follow that of the god (Satan) of this world. Our commission in Matthew 28 is to take the word of God to those of this world that do not understand the love of God as we speak with love and compassion presenting the gospel of grace to those who will answer Gods call to salvation through His son Christ Jesus.

As long as Satan has power over this world (people) it will continue to wax worse and worse, but we through the Holy Spirit working through us can make a difference in another ones life if we only get out of our comfort zones and go forth in the world proclaiming the Gospel of grace as even we sit and eat with sinners as Christ did.

Exactly but we have to obey the laws of the government do we not?

so when the goverment bans any mention of calling men and women of faith to repent of their sin that society oks illegal we just go along?

that isnt that far away. i really do believe that will be seeable in my grandchildren offspring. few in america actually know the constution well enough to see that the goverment is taking rights from us.are we the goverments enemies?
