How to Find False Prophets Using Scripture Pt2

A false prophet to me is one who does not teach/preach on how to obtain salvation in this lifetime and eternal life after death with the scriptures that have been give to us but still preaches Jesus. What is a false prophet to you? These are just a few scriptures that the Holy Spirit has drawn me into, in order by Gospel..

Salvation
John 3:3
John 4:24
John 14:16
Romans 10:9
Ephesians 2:8

Eternal Life
Psalms 23:6
John 11:25-26
1 Corinthians 15:54
Philippians 3:20-21

He is Speaking to Everyone!
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, Seek, Knock!
John 3:16 - That whoever believes in Him!
Acts 2:21 - Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord!
Acts 2:47 - Having Favor with All the People!

Matthew 11:30 - We all have a choice, do not be afraid to knock on His door!
2 Corinthians 5:7 - Praise be to God the Father of Spirit and Flesh!

Pt2 - Does eternal security also come with eternal salvation and eternal life. Are all three the same?

Someone who does not preach the Gospel (Good News).

Acts 20:24
But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
Romans 1:9For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you,

Acts 20:24

Romans 1:9For God, whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you,

Amen sister! This seems so hard for some? The strength of sin is the law, the power over sin is the grace of God.
If you hate sin? preach grace not legalism.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from the GRACE OF CHRIST, to another gospel.
1:8 But even if we or and ANGEL FROM HEAVEN, preach any other gospel to you that that we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Ther is ONLY ONE gospel and that is called the gospel of grace. If you do not understand how grace overcomes sin and law produces sinful desires, you do not understand the Word of God. You have no biblical right to teach others, nor has God called you to correct others faults.

You are the blind man, who wants to drive the car. You have no license, until your eyes have been opened to the righteousness of God by faith, and the power of grace over sin.

AWAKE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SIN NOT.

And if the don't preach this.....

Romans 6:1-3

King James Version (KJV)

6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

We continue to grow in grace in order to be a blessings to others.

So maybe a person has a skill/gift of teaching on the gifts of the spirit. Sounds to me like Urk would think him to be a false prophet. Am I missing something?

Another may be skilled in teaching on how we treat others like the sermon on the mount...

Mitspa, blessings! so what do you think of Pt2 - Does eternal security also come with eternal salvation and eternal life. Are all three the same?
as long as the "born-again"believer stands by grace through faith they can never fail. If a believer turns away from the grace of God into self-righteousness and works of law, the scripture declares they are cutoff from Christ and have fallen from grace. A true believer cannot be removed from the Hand of God, unless they reject the Spirit of Grace, and count the Blood of Christ as a common thing. This is an issue where I find myself in conflict with most traditional teachings on both sides. I believe I hold the true biblical position. That no man should account the grace as a license to walk in sin. I dont know any Christain who does this. It seems others have churches full of these people? If a church allows such things do not have any part with that church. But most of all clear warnings of scripture are for those who turn from grace back into law. These are the most clear and fearful warnings of the scriptures. Eternal salvation, life, security are not for either group to enjoy, they are known to those who walk near to God in spirit. Gods does not want those who use the doctrines of grace to excuse their lust, to be secure. He for sure will not allow the legalist to think thay have earned salvation by their self-efforts.
You see many can debate scripture and this scripture against that one? But only those who KNOW Gods love, really KNOW they are saved. For nothing can seperate us from Gods Love.
If you dont have it? then you dont have it.

A person can be as blamless as Paul at keeping the law, or a person can know all the doctrines of Calvin and debate scripture back and forth. But God has made the condition of His Love as the key that unlocks the eternal understanding of salvation.

Being rooted and grounded in love you may comprehend with all the saints the width, length, height and depth of so great a salvaltion.

So I say that ONLY if you know the Love of God, should you think you are secure and if you know it? nothing can ever seperate you from Him.

Hmm....
I think I made some assumptions that you did not and I maybe shouldn't have.

My assumption was that is would be a church setting or an evangelist, missionary type person. I may be wrong. I would not expect someone who teaches specifically on the gifts to also come preaching the milk.

To me, a false prophet is also someone that denies that there is torment in Hell forever, but still preaches Jesus and eternal life.

I find the false prophets based on the following points..!

1. Who twists the words of Bible and speaks his own ideas and thoughts as God revealed it to him.
2. If his prophecy has different meanings to confuse the people
3. Most of his prophecies wont happen.
4. Who exalts himself, not God.
5. Speaks more general prophecies, for eg: There would be a war between 2 european countries, 5 great political leaders will die soon.. etc..

And many more...

Basically, If some one acts with no way related to our Bible prophets, they will be recognized as false prophets.

To me a false prophet is someone who denies eternal fire and eternal torment scriptures, but still preaches Jesus.

well sheesh, because I have studied somewhat on hell, and sheol and the grave and gehenna. and if I were to teach on what they meant. I wouldn't use the catholic/imagery from norse myths. that makes me a false prophet?

imagery, isn't so black and white. I do believe in a torment but what it says isn't clear. a literal fire cant damage satan.

OK so that is what we call a personal belief. Now if you want to have others believe that you will need to find scripture that teaches us that. We are not allowed to go beyond what scripture teaches.

I have had posters on here avoid and deny Mark 9:48, Isaiah 66:24 and Revelation 20:10 for quite some time now.

Not all believers own bibles, some have no written language, yet they teach others about Jesus Christ and the cross and sin.

That is an excuse not to search for truth. If a believer doesn't own a Bible, then they should have no problem preaching hell and how to avoid it. The believer that does not own a bible or the internet also has the Holy Spirit in them to discern truth for them. If a believer is already saved, the Word of God has been planted into his mind and soul. The Word of God is the Word of God. Denying any scripture from the Bible is false. For example, if an unbeliever walks up to a believer that doesn't have a bible and the unbeliever asks him does hell exist, what would the believer say?

You don't understand. They don't have electricity. They live in villages that have no written language. NONE They have no books of any kind. They are bush people. They have witch doctors!

Even when people learn to speak their individual bushman language there is no such thing as written words for them to even write john 3:16 down for them.

I have family who are missionaries on the island of Madascar off the tip of Africa. They go to the bush and have only basic language skills. They use those limited skills to tell the people about Jesus Christ. Those who believe tell others about the "good news". That's the main thing they are interesed in doing right now. Telling others the good news of Jesus Christ.

We are more blessed than most of the people who have ever lived on the earth to have a bible we can read and understand. God is very good to us.

That is awesome that they are telling people about Jesus. That is a good ministry. There is nothing wrong with that, but what if God decides to test them and someone asks them about hell, sin, temptation or the devil? Would they avoid the question and just keep preaching Jesus? For example, if a believer isn't aware of hell then is he aware of who the devil is, what temptation is and what sin is? Wouldn't they already know these things being that they are indwelled with the Holy Spirit?
