Re: Heat's first casualty...

So sad... my daughter just called from taking care of my in-laws animals ... she found their dog dead in his kennel. The kennel had plenty of shade and there was plenty of water for him... but it was almost 105 here yesterday afternoon and he was a very old dog. I guess the heat was just too much for him.

:crying
I'm sorry to hear about the dog. Prayers for comfort for them.

Meanwhile it's in the upper 70's and sunny here today. Supposed to be pretty much the same the next few days.:)

In my drought-stricken area of the Midwest... it's 92 degrees F, with heat index making it 98 degrees. There's a low 51% humidity...and the UV index is a 7, which is high.

Tomorrow, the weather will change a wee bit ... with a high of 95 degrees F, 56% humidity, and a UV index of 9.

Reminds me of the exactly words of Adrian Cronauer, as spoke by Robin Williams in "Good Morning, Vietnam."

Too bad Huston can't ship some of its abundant flood waters this way!
