Si is a perfectly normal Vietnam Vet. Si inspired me to let my beard grow. But Si does have good reason to be who he is, he wears the one award that, with the group I flew, is one, single, station below the Medal of Honor, the CIB. I am bot sorry and glad I never earned it. The Combat Infantryman's Badge is only awarded to blooded combat infantry troops and Si may have been one of those nuts I loved so much that had not the sense to run through the jungle in a war zone. Ya just gotta love them nuts.
