I Love Animals

Our pets are members of our families. They receive good, care, and love. They share their love with us. And, they also enjoy hearing Scripture read aloud to them :thumbsup
And when they die our hearts are broken. That is why I told myself no more pets.I couldn't stand the heartache.

I still have pets, and will more than likely have pets for some time to come. My older cat is now 14, and she's starting to slow down. My younger cat is about 5 (he was already full-grown when he entered my household). My dog is almost 7.

I've nearly always had a pet in my life. When I couldn't have a dog or cat I had birds or fish. But that was when I was a kid and lived in an apartment that didn't allow dogs or cats. I tried owning birds in more recent years, and that didn't work out. Won't have any more birds. Maybe I'll try fish again one day.

Just be careful of the fish tank & your kitty.

We had a fish tank with a solid lid to prevent the cats from 'fishing'. Yet, the fish were slowly decreasing in number. One evening we found out the reason for that: our youngest cat had figured out how to use her claws to lift one corner of the lid.... after that, the only challenge she had was to wait for the fish to swim into that quadrant. (The lid was re-designed that same evening!)

I lost one fish to one of my past cats, I think. One disappeared, anyway. But after that she left them alone. Maybe she didn't like getting her paws wet.

One of the cats I've had absolutely didn't like getting her paws wet .... unless .... someone had a bubble bath in progress. For some reason, she loved bubble baths & didn't mind getting her paws wet. (But she absolutely did not like taking a non-bubble bath!)

OH MY...smart cat.

Kandy loved chocolate. She smelled it in my daughters bedside stand drawer. She figured out how to open that drawer. She ate a half of bag of chocolates.

That is too funny!

Obviously, the chocolate didn't hurt her at all ... and she probably enjoy every single little bit!

Clever dog!

Milk chocolate is more diluted than dark chocolate, so it's a lot less likely to cause any damage to pets.

My daughter had made a Christmas ornament at school to put on our Christmas tree.It was made from a dog bone.Well Kandy was determined she was going to get that bone off the tree. One night while we were gone she got up on the railing to the stairs and jumped on the tree.Well, she got the bone treat and our tree was on the ground. :erm

This past Christmas was my kitty's first, and he liked to climb the tree. I was surprised he didn't knock it over, but he'd just shimmy up the branches. Turned out he was walking as close to the tree's center of gravity as possible.

How precious, questdriven!

I had a black & white cat who liked to be part of the Christmas tree decorations as well. Except he wouldn't be as visible as your kitty. He preferred to 'see but not be seen' until someone walked past ... then he would reach out & tap the person who would jump, sometimes squeak in surprise. I think the cat enjoyed doing that!
