Grumpy old man is crusty on the outside, but inside you have a surprisingly good filling like a blueberry pieI thought Christianity was a humble contest. I'm losing so far on this forum anyway.

Thank you for_his_gloryI think it was that Abel gave of his first fruits being the best while Cain just gave of his fruit, but not being the best part of it, but just giving God the leftovers.
We're just getting older and I think we forget more than what we learnThank you for_his_glory
I have heard you explain that before . I don't know why it didn't come back to mind
Too trueWe're just getting older and I think we forget more than what we learn
Scary but so true. We're just getting older and I think we forget more than what we learn
I am still a spiritual kid really. That's a great expression. I'm going to borrow that one for future use. Thanks couppy.Babies and Children need motivation and appreciation. So do God's spiritual kids
Why don't they do that naturally? It is because they do not have love for us. Jesus mentioned that in John 15:19 but the reasons are rooted in their own insecurities and sin. 1 Peter 4:4 explains it a bit more. Why don't they love me? Why don't they worship me?
I'm helping the poor. I'm helping the homeless. I'm helping the traumatised. I'm being nice to them. They should be nice to me!!
I'm doing God's work! Where's the appreciation? I deserve validation for my efforts. I didn't sign up for Christianity to suffer! And be abused!
We are all kids, depending on who is drinking milk, eating mashed potatoes, chewing solid food, and having a crack at a bone. God knows us all. We can pretend to be spiritually older than we are. Some teenagers do that, don't they? Yet, what they do and how they do it, tells adults that these teenagers are still learning. Paul made distinction in 1 Corinthians 3:2.I am still a spiritual kid really. That's a great expression. I'm going to borrow that one for future use. Thanks couppy.
We are all kids aren't we. Kids pretending to be adults. Well to some extent anyway.

I used to play tanks and army men as a kid. Given the chance I'd do it again......don't tell anybody.....I'll deny it.
