I think that maybe this is the ultimate question God will ask me,

What did you learn?

This is far more frightening to think about than being judged for my sins.

For me, I would be far more afraid of the judgement for my sins since that is what scripture tells me will send me to hell! The only thing I learned in this life that I think will be important on that day is that I learned Jesus paid for those sins and all I had to do was accept that and turn my heart over to Him to have those sins erased and forgiven!

Umm, ok.

But why are we here? is it just for someone to pay for our sins.

Dear poetofparables, we have an enemy, and we have a Savior. There is consequence for sin, and reward for righteousness, but since we all have sinned and there are none righteous and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), according to Php 3:9 we must needs "Be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith."

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

God will present you with truth, and the manner of safety; it will come down to your decision of receiving it. I truly do not believe you're here by accident. Blessings in Christ Jesus.

Jesus has come to give us a full life, but what is Gods intent to create life so we may have it fully. Is it only to be saved from it?

Biblicaly with the will of every man being their own, we have the option of accepting life or death. God’s plan is to have a people led in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Why did God create us? I suppose if there were books written untold of the subject it could not adequately describe how much He loved us so that He would send Jesus to die to reconcile us unto Himself. The closest I can quote is John 3:16, For God so loved . .

The Old Testament is written as examples of things for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come according to 1 Cor 10:11, and to that end you might find the types of God seeking a bride for Jesus in the entire chapter of Genesis Chapter 24 where Abraham represents our Father, Eliezer the eldest servant the Holy Spirit, Isaac the Son Jesus, and Rebekah is the bride taken from God’s people.

Act 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

At this point I’m not sure of your research as there is many that address this very subject on Google, but I can attest to the fact of what has done for me, to me, and through me, and to start with it took me from witnessing that I didn’t believe in God when I entered the Air Force to one today that has peace that passes understanding all because of God never giving up on me. As we read in 2 Tim 2:13, If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful, and He has so tenderly kept me as He worked in me to will, and to do of His good pleasure. I doubt I can fully give you the entirety what you are seeking in these few verses, but feel free to ask more. Others may have a much deeper understanding how to give you their testimony also.

Ok.

Umm, ok.

But why are we here? is it just for someone to pay for our sins.

Let me correct that,

"What is the meaning of life? is it just for someone to pay for our sins.
I don't know how to answer the age old question of "What is the meaning of life?" and had that been the stated subject of your OP I wouldn't have even tried to answer it. Philosophers have pined over that question for all of history without finding an acceptable answer.

Let me correct that,

"What is the meaning of life? is it just for someone to pay for our sins.
We were created for God's pleasure, to worship Him, and to bring Him glory, but I think this sums it all up:

Ephesians 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

I learned there is no valley I went through that you didn't use for my perseverance, there was no pruning I went through that you didn't use to make me fruitful, there was no furnace I entered into that you didn't use to make me shine and purify me, and no matter how far I ran from you, you followed this lost sheep unto the ends of the earth, whenever I strayed it was because I was absent, not you. I learned you save us because of your love for us. I learned "amazing grace" is so much more than a beautiful song. I learned that God and religion are not compatible, you take sanctuary in the hearts of men and dwell within them, but it is good to offer corporate praise, you inhabit the praises of your people and draw near to us when we lift our voices, for you are a loving God who has rent the veil of the temple to open unto us the throne of mercy. I have learned that your disciples are not perfect men, but you did and do your perfect work through them, you hear our prayers and see our works not through our righteousness, but by the righteousness of your Son, Glory to God. I did not learn much else. I do not know much, but like the penitent thief on the cross I can only ask of you in the name of Jesus Christ, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.

Let me correct that,
"What is the meaning of life? is it just for someone to pay for our sins.

The meaning of life is to know without the shadow of a doubt that (1) God created us to resemble Him and (2) those who have received Christ as Lord and Savior will in fact resemble Christ for all eternity.

This life is a preparation for eternal and perfect existence with God, and He will ensure that we have enough work to do for Him for all eternity.

The sin question had to be dealt with and put aside at the Cross.
