In Today's News

Alas, poor SasukeUchiha12 seems to have caught the flu before his October vaccination.

Yeah, he's one of my roleplayer friends. Not sure whether or not he actually caught it though. All I know is that he wasn't feeling all that well last night and he thought he might have it because his sister did.

Welcome to another edition of today's news and unlike most days here it is not a very happy occasion today. :sad For today is the day that America remembers and weeps for the lives that were lost seventeen years ago. Nearly three thousand people were killed and even though their lives were lost they will never be forgotten as well as all forty-four passenger's of flight ninety-three.

First of all in today's news an eighteen year old soccer player was tragically killed in a car accident yesterday. Here's more of the details and my thoughts and prayers go towards her friends and family members. :pray

And I never thought that I would ever see the day, but it looks like one school in Georgia has decided to bring back corporal punishment. :mouthdrop Here's more.

And also an eleven year old that was battling cancer unfortunately has died. Find out the special way that he's being remembered. Rest in peace Caleb, I sure hope that you're in a better place. :halo

Also find out why a three year old little girl was a big help to a couple of New York state troopers in an arrest that occurred late last week. :thumbsup

And by the grace of God a ten year old little boy has survived a freak accident that wound up with a meat skewer being impaled all the way through his skull. :eek2Here's more on the story but just a quick warning that this one might be a bit graphic.

And in sports even though it was a really close game, The Tampa Ray Bays wound up beating The Cleveland Indians last night with a final score of six to five.

Finally in today's news, it's a really happy and heartwarming story for a ten year old boy who recently had his bicycle stolen as the Solon Police Department and the bicycle shop owner presented him with a new bike. :)

Gah,corporal punishment, Bah we won www2 with boys razed on that ,I was spanked in school,or would you want a kid arrested, will it work on everyone ,no.

The true way to improve society is to raise children to fear the Lord. Paddling based on unbeliever codes won't get the job done. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV

That was nice of the bike shop.

Maybe the Indians will win next time.

May the Lord bless you too.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you when it comes to fearing the Lord. Unless you are being disobedient to Him I see no reason to fear Him. And when it comes to corporal punishment I'm sort of on the fence about it. I think it just depends on the circumstances for me.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: Proverbs 9:10a KJV

Respect and obey the LORD! This is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9:10a CEV

Some translations use the words respect or reverence.
