If God doesn't want to use folks with tatoos, why is He. I've met many, saved christians with tatoos.

Well, exactly.

as far as my tattoo goes i can definitely say that it is a reminder that my strength comes from him n i can do all things through him

Again, exactly. Whether or not to have it done is very much an individual thing, but it's undeniable that many Christians feel deeply about meaningful faith based ink, that they are so often glad to talk about with ppl.

I..do like to watch one show called Tattoo Mistakes or something like that where they cover over bad tats with other ones and they come out perfect and you can not even see the old ones. It is definitely an art.

The gender aspect should be the same for a women or a man..I would have no problem with that of a women owning her own parlor, but needs to be discreet.

Yes, I completely agree; and I also appreciate for_his_glory's cautionary phrase where she refers to the need to be discreet. No need to flaunt it, but it's definitely a fine art.

(Interesting that all three of these posters with these observations are Christian women, also.)

Blessings.

I am not against tattoos. As long as they are reasonable. But really having too much is covering the beauty of the body that God gives to you. Plus having one put on would really hurt.

Do you think that a discreet Christian fish sign <>< on a wrist, for instance, can be tasteful and effective as a conversation-starter in witness?

Blessings.

You could always use numbing cream, such as DrNumb.

Depends on how much you might like a particular design someplace.
