Is God the Cause of sin and evil in the world ?

tot

if we assume God to be omniscient would be that of God wanting sin to exist
as it has a part to play in His plan for creation.

It was because of His Eternal Redemptive Purpose in Christ. Creation was for Christ. Col 1:16

16 For by him[Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him[Christ], and for him[Christ]:

Adam sinned according to God's Purpose !

Adam sinned in the beginning according to God's Eternal Redemptive Purpose centered in Christ Jesus before the foundation in which he was created at in the beginning 1 Pet 1:20

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Christ's Redemptive Death was foreordained before adam was created !

Isa 55:11

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

That word for word here is the hebrew word dabar and is also translated and means commandment Ex 24:28

28 And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

So Yes this blessed Truth of Isa 55:11 holds true even with adam and God's word of command to him forbidding to eat from that certain tree. Gen 2:16-17

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

And if God did not command him not to eat, then he would not have sinned by eating of it, and so then no sin and death would have entered into the world, and the foreordained death of Christ for sin not needed 1 Pet 1:18-20; For if there was no sin, what need for the redemption from sin ? With no redemption from sin then no need for the praises to God for the redemption from sin as seen here Rev 5:9-10

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

However, what religious men do not know is that God had an eye to this Glory from the mouth of the redeemed before He uttered the words in Gen 1:3

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.601

A serious blasphemy !

A serious blasphemy of men is this: Most today in mans religion would tell us that God's Purpose purpose to send Christ into the world to be a propitiation for sin 1 Jn 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

That this was a result of God foreseeing what adam would do, and so the will of a temporal being, God's Creature, receives the credit or recognition for instigating or determining the Eternal Purpose and will of The Eternal Being of God.

They tell us the Eternal Redemptive Purpose of Christ[Eph 3:11] was not determined until God could see what would happen in time, that He should first see His creatures adam's will, before He wills concerning him, and so the conclusion of this blasphemy is that the creature will in time determine the will of the Creator's will before time, and if that is not backwards and insulting to the Great Blessed God, I do not know what is ! We are giving more credit to the creature than to the Creator, in that He was not capable of forming and determining His own Eternal Redemptive Plan within His own self without first consulting the actions of His creatures will ! What an insult to the Wisdom of God !62

A serious blasphemy ! 2

Its a Serious Blasphemy to speak that God foresaw the act of anyone or anything to cause Him to Purpose Christ for Sin. The True God cannot be influenced to act from anything out of Himself, to even consider that makes God out to be a follower and not the Only Sovereign God !

Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. As God become man of no reputation Jesus had no need to learn how to obey; He did always those things that pleased His Father, but He came to know by experience the temptation and the power in the Spirit to overcome all things.

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. He is the perfect offering; the lamb without blemish.

A propitiation? Yes as the only One that could become the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. He lived and died to put away sin and appease that charge against man: there is none righteous, no, not one. If there were not the possibility of sin, there would have been no victory. Teleó, it is finished. Praise His name.

I can't help but wonder who you are quoting here. Do you have a source for this or is it more poetic license and/or rhetoric that gives rise to these "they" you mention, whomever they are?
