Growth Is it all About Perception?

If we could only see ourselves the way the Lord sees us. How powerful we would be!!

What a great thought. I have had this thought before, and even prayed about it, to be able to see myself as the Lord sees me. This is one of the enemies most favorite lies to us. You're no good, you've sinned too much, and so forth. But if we remind ourselves that the Lord died for us while we were yet sinners, there's a really nice follow up thought train to that.

No one's perfect. We all will stumble and sin. Keep King David in mind when you feel like this. David sinned a whole bunch, and was still called a man after the Lords own heart. Interesting! This is possible because when we sin...we have to get back up and turn back to God and repent. King David always did this, no matter how bad his sin was.

Lord have mercy on me, a sinner.

Yes, that is a favorite of the devil. I was told when I was growing up that I would never amount to anything or be anybody. I never was until the Lord told me he had great plans for me. It has taken 18 years to overcome the old scripts, but I'm still working on it.
