Is Jesus Christ in the flesh?

Is Jesus Christ in the flesh? Why or why not?

Matthew 16:13
"So as we now know no one according to flesh, but even if we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we no longer know Him so. So that if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!" (2Cor 5:16-17 LITV).

Yes, I believe Jesus was God in the flesh, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Bodies?
Lazarus and the rich man: the rich man recognized, Lazarus and Abraham, thus, must had a spiritual body, resembling the flesh body.
In Rev.6:9,11
I saw the souls of them that were slain for the word of God...
And white robes were given unto everyone of them..
Must had some kind of body.
Spiritual body.

Yes Jesus was born and had a body with flesh and blood.... Yes He is/was resurrected ...
His resurrected body was not the same as our bodies as we live on earth..... In todays language we might say He could morph..

The story On the road to Emmaus
Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
The closed door
Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Out of nowhere
Joh 21:1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

When we die our physical bodies go to the grave. That includes bones, guts our outside skin and everything that another person can see on us.Our spirit goes immediately to heaven. Those bodies will rot and turn to dust in the grave until we are resurrected at the rapture of the Church.God will resurrect all that has rotted into a physical glorified body that will reunite with our soul which is in heaven. The only way a person bypasses that is the Rapture of the Church.

Humm....
Hear the Word of the LORD:
Ezek 37:4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
KJV
Matt 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

I find this sad that Christians are debating the birth of Jesus who came and died on the cross for our sins, as if they question him being born or not. His ministry was for 3-1/2yrs the Bible and history books tell us of him being born. It is the foundation of our salvation. Without his death, we are dead in our sins!!
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
KJV
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
KJV

That is not what i understand this thread to be about ...

Well I hope not, I would never want to misled God's people into thinking that the Son of God was never flesh on this earth. I am only saying the verses in 1John 4:2 & 2John 7 are not talking about Jesus being born in the flesh body. They are talking about that Jesus must be in us, in order for us to be of God. For The Word must indwell our flesh.

"So as we now know no one according to flesh, but even if we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we no longer know Him so. So that if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!" (2Cor 5:16-17 LITV).

Your spot on Gregg.

Saul, saw Jesus as a carpenter, a son to Joseph and Mary, Just another human that was trying to get by and trying to make a difference in the world. Then Paul saw Him as the unique God Man of the universe.

1 John 3
2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

"It has not yet been revealed" and "we shall see Him as He is" is a reference to the physical appearance of Jesus.

John says he doesn't know what Jesus looks like.

.
Gary this is refering to what Jesus truly looks like not how people saw Him after He was born as a man.

How do you reconcile your belief with this verse?

1 Corinthians 15
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

.
Gary Greetings,
The Kingdom of God is not the Kingdom of Heaven. The kingdom of God is here where a born again believer who is full of the Holy Ghost operates. Another words, people who are unsaved or Christians who are not walking in the spirit of God but in the spirit of man (the flesh) will not inherit the kingdom of God. Which means they can not walk in His blessing or walk in His protection and will not have His power to over come or fight the enemy and so on.

When a Believer is walking in Gods will He is dwelling in the kingdom of God. He has inherited the kingdom of God.
Luke 17:20-21 KJV
20... And when He was demanded of the pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, "The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation -1
( or with outward shew)
21... Neither shall they say, Lo here ! or lo there ! for, behold the Kingdom of God is within you -2 (or among you)
See it like this....The Kingdom of God is inside out
the kingdom of darkness is outside in

Blessings Brother
Jim

Matthew 16:13
Jesus Christ is God in flesh, I believe. In other words, God chose to come to earth in the form of a human being, so he did so as Jesus Christ.
