Yes, God is predictable.
And thank you Lord for being predictable.
This is how we can know that we have eternal life.

Predictable? hmmm, how would it be a walk of faith Heb 11:1 if He was predictable?

Concerning eternal life, isn't that more of a promise?

But I have to add He is predictable in being unpredictable. LOL

Blessings,

Gene

God makes promises throughout the Bible that are 100% true.
That's being very predictable.
In what way is he unpredictable?

If we can't predict what God will do on a day to day basis, that makes Him unpredictable.

What other way is there to look at it?
Whatever God does, we can be sure that it will be truth, that it will be full of love, and it will keep his promises, that it will be in line with what the Bible teaches us.
Very predictable indeed!

Your statement is more of a statement of Faith than it is a statement of predictability. We can't predict what God will do today concerning our personal lives or certain events around the world. All we can do is believe that whatever happens, happens because it is the Will of God.

To say that God is unpredictable is to say that he can change whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
In this way, we cannot know what God will do from day to day.
He can change what truth is.
He can change the way we should love.
He can change his promises.
And he can change even what the Bible teaches us.
Such a God would be very unpredictable, and very unreliable.
Not a God that one can trust.
Such a God is not my God.

Numbers 23:19-20;
"God is not a man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Behold, I received a command to bless:
He has blessed, and I cannot revoke it".

What you are expressing is your faith in the Word of God. The bible says this, the bible says that, and you are absolutely right. There's no disputing the validity of the Word of God.

The question was, "Is God predictable?" I don't believe He is. In our day to day living I can't predict what God has in store for me from one moment to the next. I don't believe anyone can say with any confidence that God is going to do this, this and this, tomorrow. Maybe I'm wrong but that's just the way I see it.

That's my stance too.
Not saying that GOD can't keep HIS promises. HIS Way is not our way. Knowing HIS words can help us understand better, gives insight...
