The lady got a citation for not using colons, commas, and periods in sentences on Facebook.
The citation is higher when one uses poor grammar then it is for when is texting while driving. While she was texting as she drove.
The Earth is round- Bible never said it was flat anyways: "He is seated upon the circle (heb:חוּג, chug- which means 'sphere') of the earth..." Isaiah 40:22
and "He has drawn a circle on the waters at the boundary where the day and night come together." Job 26:10
I heard she had to register as a text offender. Now she's not allowed to come within 1000 ft. of an English classroom. Honest. The lady got a citation for not using colons, commas, and periods in sentences on Facebook.
It's not very nice of you to derail this thread.I was going to quote this same passage, but I see you beat me to it. This, along with empirical evidence makes the fact that the earth is spherical quite easy. Being a gnomonist, I see that solar "movement" for example, follows perfectly well with location. This would not be the case with a flat earth, as solar/stellar motion would be the same all over.
In addition, one can look at the moon and sun and see they are spherical, so why not us? The moon, especially, is obviously spherical known since ancient times.

Although our universe seems 3-D, quantum physics suggests that we could actually be living in a 2-D world. A new experiment by the U.S. Department of Energy is seeking to prove that, as well as make new discoveries about the Universe as a whole.
The concept is relatively straightforward. Physicists suggest that we might be like characters on a television show, thinking the world around us is 3-D, but actually living in a 2-D environment. Each character on the screen is actually a series of pixels, minuscule points of data that create a complete image.
Now the earth may not be flat, but it just might be two dimensional.

Can you explain how you use a circumference to draw a circle? Everyone I know uses a compass for that. Of course, a compass will draw a circle that's centered on wherever you choose to put it's needle. Jerusalem, California, Moscow... pretty much anywhere can be said to be the center of the world because the world is on a sphere. You all say the Earth is not flat?
If you take a picture of the world and use a circumference to draw a circle around the land mass, you will find that Jerusalem is the center of the world.
You can't see that with a round Earth.
