islamist = we love death more than you love life... scary

I wonder if Muslims ever read this verse in the Bible.

Proverbs 8:36But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

So if they love death, would that not bother them that by His words, they hate God?
They probably have and the main problem is that in Islam Jesus is still an important figure. They definatley don't hate him.

Muslims don't love death anymore than a Christian who would martyr themselves as a means to prove their faith in oppressive times.

Not off the top of my head saddly.
In all fairness, then please do not say things you can not prove that might only be hear say. None of us should ever assume anything without solid proof.

Do you really think they would read the Bible or even allowed to own one? No.

You can be Muslim and own a Bible and even read it. There are scholars that do the same as many Christian scholars that compare and contrast.

I doubt that as some of the Muslims I have helped to convert to Christianity have told me they have to hide their Bibles and read them in secrecy as they could be killed for owning one as they fear for their own lives. Muslims believe in Jesus, but only as a prophet and not being the Messiah. as He is written of in the Quran

it's a very rare of a situation to begin with.
Incorrect statement.
May I suggest you obtain a copy of operation World to learn just how common is Islamic persecution of Christians inislamic countries.

Were these Muslims in a western country or Muslim theocracy?

That probably has more to do with the country being a theocracy. Similar situations were very common in Christian theocracies. For a more modern example we can point to Ireland when the protestants and catholics were having a civil war.

lovely, since i had to read this. and i had to get the ptsd exam.

there are minority muslims who arent so much into killing those that disagree, this is a complicated subject as i know of muslim vets that served honorably in the u.s. army.

the major but not all inclusive list of the sects are
sunni, shia, kufi and sufi and also the kurds are muslim in nature and even in some islamic nations there are some oddities with the use of the cross and cultural references to the older pre christian culture.

but well i have ptsd and well i work with a hijab wearing pakistani naturalized american citizen who has donated to veterans, she is very western. i even and she said i was the only one that was able to tell the origin of her name. but well i study them when i was overseas.

The Irish civil war after they achieved independence from Britian was political not religious.

If you mean the ' troubles ' in Northern eireland that was tribal not religious.

As for whether Islamic persecution only occurs under theocracies you would struggle to find a Muslim state that distinguished between secular and religious affairs.

So the Irish National Republicans didn't run and rally based around terrorism and strong Catholic nationalism?

So a theocracy? If a state is based on a religion, it's a theocracy.

He is both a prophet and Messiah.

Niblo I am glad you have the Bible and do not have to hide it like so many other Muslims have to hide it from their families.

May I ask you, have you confessed Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior according to Romans 10:9-10?

Hello again.

May I draw your attention to my posts in the thread: 'Is the Temple of God a building or is it within man.'

The answer to your question is 'Yes....I once did.'

I have no desire to state the reasons why my views have changed, since this would necessitate criticism of certain beliefs that Christians - including members of my family - hold dear. Besides, I am a guest in a Christian Forum, and act accordingly. I hope you will understand.

Very best regards.

I will not press you to tell us why you no longer believe, but will let you know, I as an Administrator in this forum, will not let anyone criticize you or they will be removed from this thread.

You are not a guest, but a member of the CF community and have every right to your own beliefs even though we might not agree with you, but yet it's your choice as we all make our own choices and only God can judge the heart.

If I might ask though, what brings you to a Christian forum?
