It's time to outlaw bullying

Say Gary have you ever had one of these patients throw an antique 50 pound chair across the table at you in order to make his point then when that didn't work he went to work the next day picked up a hammer and proceeded to break a table in two pieces while trying to kill the guy working next to him.

No, but my mom did. It was across a bed, not a table. She missed.

Is this suppose to convince me that this is typical behavior of someone who is burdened with mental illness? I take meds for mental illness and I can honestly say I've never done that.

Each patient is issued 3-4 extra large sandwich bags filled with anti psychotic drugs to get them through their day.. Some are demon possessed want to know more?

An extra large sandwich bag can easily hold 3,000 pills. 9 to 12,000 pills a day, every day, just to get through the day!!??

Wow! And here I thought my 1 pill twice a day was a lot.

In Gods eyes the entire world is mentally ill..:yes

I don't think so.I believe that God loves everyone.I believe that God wants everyone to come to a saving faith in Him.

But what would you be like if you decided to not take that pill or they were not available to you?Now who in the world would be taking that many pills in a day turnorburn? They would be dead.

for illegal research purposes, anyone who can find out about pellagra and what it was and what it did and what was done for it around 1900 to 19030 might find some very revealing information that they can in no way talk about freely nor discuss in any public arena. (yet).

If it's so dangerous to talk about it, why did it only take me a few seconds to find all this information online?

Pellagra was studied mostly in Europe until the late 19th century when it became an epidemic especially in the southern United States.[26] In the early 1900s, pellagra reached epidemic proportions in the American South. Between 1906 and 1940 more than 3 million Americans were affected by pellagra with more than 100,000 deaths, yet the epidemic resolved itself right after dietary niacin fortification.[27] Pellagra deaths in South Carolina numbered 1,306 during the first ten months of 1915; 100,000 Southerners were affected in 1916. At this time, the scientific community held that pellagra was probably caused by a germ or some unknown toxin in corn.[27] The Spartanburg Pellagra Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was the nation's first facility dedicated to discovering the cause of pellagra. It was established in 1914 with a special congressional appropriation to the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) and set up primarily for research. In 1915, Joseph Goldberger, assigned to study pellagra by the Surgeon General of the United States, showed it was linked to diet by inducing the disease in prisoners, using the Spartanburg Pellagra Hospital as his clinic. By 1926, Goldberger established that a balanced diet or a small amount of brewer's yeast[28] prevented pellagra.

Goldberger experimented on 11 prisoners (one was dismissed because of prostatitis). Before the experiment, the prisoners were eating fruits and vegetables from the prison garden. Goldberger started feeding them a restricted diet of grits, syrup, mush, biscuits, cabbage, sweet potatoes, rice, collards, and coffee with sugar (no milk). About two weeks into the experiment, the prisoners complained of headaches, confusion, and loss of appetite. In the third week, six of the 11 broke out in pellagra, and two prisoners begged for release. Goldberger cured them, feeding them fruits and vegetables again, and gave them their freedom.[citation needed] In 1920’s he connected pellagra to the diet of rural areas with corn-based diets rather than infection, contrary to the common medical ideas of that time.[29][30] Despite all his efforts few physicians took up his ideas due to necessity of social reform, especially in the land system of that time, which led to many avoidable deaths and stereotypes.[31] Goldberger is remembered as the "unsung hero of American clinical epidemiology".[32] However, he failed to identify a specific element whose absence caused pellagra.

In 1937, Conrad Elvehjem, of Madison, Wisconsin, showed the vitamin niacin cured pellagra (manifested as black tongue in dogs). Later studies by Dr. Tom Spies, Marion Blankenhorn, and Clark Cooper established that niacin also cured pellagra in humans, for which Time Magazine dubbed them its 1938 Men of the Year in comprehensive science.[citation needed]

Yes Kathi nurse Ratchets are abundant in those institutions, just say the right word and she'll appear.. You can be as right as rain that is unless you've been institutionalized, its only by Gods grace that your released.. A Pastor was telling me a story about a fellow Pastor that paid a visit to see a patient on the 3rd floor, when he stepped off the elevator a patient clear down at the other end of the building shouted out "we know who you are and we know why your here" These things can happen anywhere it doesn't necessarily have to be in a "mental institution"

yes, that's what Scripture says. (actually worse- the entire world is dead)

a lot of people on their own stop taking the drugs a doctor gave them for any reason, and find out they are well. not many, but a lot.

some people i meet every day are given $1000 a day in pills by the 'system' including ment.h. clinics and drug recov.clinics (outpt places),

they're not physically 'dead' yet....... and the system just keeps doing this for all the money that keeps rolling --- like the ones you mentioned before Kathi --- people who don't care about anything but the job or the money.

I have heard of a man who all of a sudden went off his meds.He said he did not need them and he went off cold turkey. He was fine. But that is very very rare.

it also happens that NO ONE can tell someone to STOP taking their meds (not legally).

it is not so rare though --- the moneymakers don't like it to be made public how many people do fine

GOOD ! (a person is allowed to find out for themselves the cure for bipolar and szofenia; but it is illegal for any licensed provided to tell them)

I am sure the pharmaceutical companies are all for some of these expensive anti-psychotic drugs. They cost a fortune. They also come with some very serious side effects. But some people have no choice.

Those bags of pills blew me away and they all, all 7 of them wanted to quit taking them without exception.. You can thank God you haven't had an "episode" Gary its only by the grace of God you haven't. I'd rather not discuss this any further it may frighten those that aren't familiar with it..

people later learn what choice they may have, like the other member here who underwent illegal ect treatments and his doctors hated it when he started recovering. (he has testified of this frequently in many posts)

we (my family) didn't know what choices we had for many years(over seven, or actually over 37 years, depending on when you start counting).

by sheer grace, God delivered to us, or delivered us, through others who knew what to do, and we believed and we were saved (at the time).

it is extremely difficult in the untied states(maybe other places also, but the states are known world-wide as one of the worst places)
TO FIND OUT THE TRUTH.

Sin and mental illness are not the same thing!
You have that right.Mental illness is a chemical imbalance of the brain. But even we as Christians sin everyday.

You have that right.Mental illness is a chemical imbalance of the brain. But even we as Christians sin everyday.

God calls all mankind stupid - says the wisdom of all men is foolishness to Him. He does not equate mental illness to sin. No.
But the whole world is void of intelligence as far as God is concerned .

as for the second statement, no time to debate nor argue, but please just simply read first john chapters 1 through 5. not everyone is required to sin every day. (that's what is said in first john; so if you disagree, then take it up with the author of first john)

When I was homeless I was a theif at times. I didn't hear voices telling me to steal. I stole because I had no money and seemingly no way out of homelessness. My illness, however, would terrify me without sin. One afternoon on a grassy area I was sure that I would be shot by a sniper that was aiming at me to kill me from a hotel window.

You have that right.Mental illness is a chemical imbalance of the brain. But even we as Christians sin everyday.

actually, according to thousands of licensed doctors in the nhf (american 'national health federation' i think), it's not a chemical imbalance but yes it is either an imbalance none-the-less, or a simple deficiency quite frequently.
most common approaches give chemicals to adjust the symptoms.
testing can show what the real imbalances are, and those can be adjusted accordingly, if you can find a doctor willing.
