Jerusalem is the prostitute

Reading the bible,we get a recurring theme.

Israel you have sinned
Israel you have sinned
Israel you have sinned
Israel you have sinned
Israel you have sinned

All the prophets agree

But reading this board you see,
Rome you have sinned.

What book are these people reading that they can't tell what's what?Obviously not the bible.

Mathew 23:37
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

Jesus says Jerusalem is responsible for all the righteous blood shed upon earth, but then you read this board and somehow Jerusalem gets turned into Rome?

Isaiah 1:21
See how the faithful city has become a prostitute! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her— but now murderers!

The prophets all agree ,Jerusalem has become a prostitute but somehow people unable to hear the word of God believe the prophets are saying Rome.

Who came up with this replacement theology?
When did Jerusalem get changed to Rome?

There are two cities in Revelation; Babylon and New Jerusalem. Neither are actual cities; both are metaphors. Babylon (prostitute) is how God sees the humanity that sin built (drunken whore). New Jerusalem is how God sees His church (precious, priceless, beautiful).

The prostitute in revelation is in fact an actual city and the word of God explains it that way.

Revelation 17:18
The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”

You say it's not a city
God says it is a city.

Who should I believe ,you of God?

Mathew 23:37
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

I just read the Book of Matthew chapter 23 again; and it made me think of something.

Did you know those lazy pharisees would not even wash their own filthy bodies; they had to have "young maidens" from the Tribes come to clean their flesh. Nasty old men.

A city is a collection of buildings and roads, how can a city rule over kings?

Because it is the capital city where the king of Babylon resides.
The same king of Babylon who smites palestinia with his rod .

Isaiah 14
29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.

32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

It's not that hard to understand.Turn on the news and watch palestinia get beaten with the rod and consider what you are seeing.

Jerusalem is not mystery Babylon, but mystery Babylon will rule over her and every nation on every Continent within the son of perdition who will take his literal seat in Jerusalem reigning for 3 1/2 years, 2Thessalonians 2:1-12.

The Great Prostitute and the Beast
Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Rev 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Rev 17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Rev 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Rev 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

False,Donald Trump only gives Israel an army to keep Israel safe. The Israeli government will continue to reign while that army is there.

In the end ,that army is destroyed along with the Israeli goverment. They are both cast into a lake of fire.

I think that when we first read Revelation, it is so mysterious that we tend to consult what someone else wrote about it, and that frames our interpretation of everything in it. And that is a mistake; it's how heresies get propagated. It would be good for each of us to 'forget' what we think we know and read it anew and let God show us what He wants us to see. I think that if a person did that, they would come away with a WAY different interpretation of the book.

The message of the Bible is that all of humanity has sinned. The fact that most of the Bible involves the Jewish people is irrelevant. The whole world has sinned, and the whole world needs Christ.

The prophets and Christ being sent only to israel.is not irrelevant nor are the words they delivered to Israel

If you would only stop ignoring the word of God as delivered by the prophets and Jesus, you might learn more about what is to transpire in israel in the coming years.

Stop ignoring Jesus.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

Jesus is not talking about wrath upon the Chinese or Canadians. He is talking about wrath upon the Israelis .You should listen to the word of God to understand why.

Revelation's is a difficult book to understand; with too many beast and/or dragons in the mix. But you have to remember the man who was shown these things had to use his own vocabulary at the time to describe what he had seen.

Seeing many things that result from a world in chaos; and trying to find the right words to describe what is would be rough. A man 2,000 years ago seeing a nuclear bomb go off would surely think that was Hell coming to earth, as a thought; he might even say it looked like a dragon breathing fire.

As for God showing us the way; most people will reject the truth, even when it is given.

I think John did an exceptional job of describing a nuclear explosion.Or given it's biblical name, the abomination that causes desolation.

IMHO....I think John saw in the visions exactly what he described. Beasts, dragons, etc. I don't think the book of Revelation is like a time-machine window into future events. These visions seem like parables. Word/pictures used to teach or reveal truth.

How about, Rev 19:17-21, where the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (from v 9) is played out...will future events literally happen as described?....Jesus has a giant sword sticking out of his mouth, riding a horse through the enemy military ranks, slashing and hacking like some crazed samurai...blood spurting, body parts flying, vultures gorging. Or maybe it's a machine of war that John is trying to describe.....as he sees Jesus in the driver's seat. ? Doesn't sound likely to me. It sounds like a graphical vision to explain a spiritual truth. Like a parable. Again...just my humble opinion.

I believe the sword coming from the mouth is actually the Power of the Word, in passing Judgement on those encountered.

The prophets and Christ were not just sent for the Jews. The message of the Bible and the atonement of Christ are for the whole world. How does someone who claims to be a Christian not understand something so fundamental to the Christian faith?
