And, as my post also shows, Romans 1 is quite explicit: the gospel of Jesus is the announcement that He is the Davidic Messiah, constituted as lord of the universe, in virtue of being raised from the dead.
So? Jesus will not reign until His time comes.
Again, you are deforming what Paul actually says. He does not say this reign will start when He returns, he says He is already enthroned:

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, 4who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Paul is quite clear. Jesus has been appointed "ruler". And this the result of something that has already happened - his resurrection from the dead.

And let's be clear: I have given actual historical evidence showing how the word was indeed sometimes used in the sense that I am claiming. You cannot simply dismiss this with a blanket denial.
We don't need historical evidence, we need Bible evidence.
You are not being fair here. My point was that Paul would use the word in accordance to what it meant in the culture and at the time he lived. By showing that the term "evangelion" was used to refer to the ascendency of an emperor to the throne, I am making the case that Paul could have been using it that way.

It is a mischaracterization to set a "historical" reading against a Biblical one - it is precisely how the term was used in Paul's time and place which enables us to understand what he meant.

I don't know much about the history but Bible verses are very clear. How do I know your claim is accurate?

Anyway, we both presented our claim and we just have to agree to disagree.

thank you for perticipation.
