Let's Discuss This

I posted this in another topic' but I think it warrants a discussion. Have you ever wondered why the Catholics have 73 books instead of just 66 or why the apocryphal books are not in our Canon or Baruch' Jeremiah's scribe was dropped from our Bible and not in the Catholics Bible let's see why shall we. This is not a Catholic bashing topic' so please let their be none. You can start by looking at the below video and to see what you think about it. I see that I have forgot some of this stuff because I have not got into it since 97 like the council of Trent' the council of Carthage' or the council of Hippo. I have ran into a few people over the years who are not Catholics but still include the other books. Like a sect of Black Israelites who are Christians in this city. So why were those books taken away let's see. My second post has one of the best explanations on this subject that you can find.

I know what they rejected. that is why I don't bother with the other books. you don't see jews arguing over a return of the nephilum
so Jason what do you think of the rejection of the 7 books' or anybody else if they care to answer.
For an example this quote below from that link I posted' where it says the The Book Of Hebrews refers to one of the 7 books I will quote it below.
But the apostles did not merely place the deuterocanonicals in the hands of their converts as part of the Septuagint. They regularly referred to the deuterocanonicals in their writings. For example, Hebrews 11 encourages us to emulate the heroes of the Old Testament and in the Old Testament "Women received their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, that they might rise again to a better life" (Heb. 11:35).

the lxx isn't a literal rendering of Hebrew. the dead scrolls didn't have the lxx with it they had the Masoretic text and none of those had the extra books as part of the tanach.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea_scrolls

read it fully. the scholars say the essenes collected that but didn't put the tanach and extra books together. some say john the Baptist was essene and they wouldn't have used the greek bible. the lxx isn't used much by those outside the rcc. its not even used for the ot only the Masoretic text is. and that is actually armaic with a code it to show what the Hebrew would say.
