- Let’s go on with Abraham!

- Genesis 11, we are told about Abraham’s family but nothing is told about their relationship to God!

- His father is Terah and his brothers are Nahor and Haran!

- Haran becomes father to lot!

- Haran dies!

- Thus Abraham has only one brother left, Nahor!

- Sarai becomes Abraham’s wife!

- Nahor takes Milcah as wife, she is the daughter of his brother Haran!

- Terah leaves Ur of the chaldeans with Abraham and his grandson Lotand they go to the land of canaan!

- Terah dies there when he is 205 years!

- In Genesis 12, we are told that God tells Abraham to leave the land of his family!

- He makes him the promise that he will become a great nation!

- God’s words are clear: he will bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him!

- When he leaves Haran, he is 75!

- He leaves with his wife and his nephew Lot!

- They have a lot of goods!

- And they go to the land of Canaan!

- Then God appears to Abraham and repeats his promise!

- Because of a famine, Abraham must to Egypt!

- There we learn Abraham’s wife is also his sister!

- In chapter 13, we are told Abraham is very rich!

- Regarding to his relationship to God, we are only told that he does what God tells him to do!

- Both Abraham and lot have too many animals so they have to separate!

- Abraham tells Lot to choose where he wants to go!

- And lot chooses to go to the city of Sodom!

- And it is said that the men of Sodom are wicked and gross sinners against God!

- Again God repeats the promise to Abraham to give the land of Canaan to his offspring who will become a great nation!

- There is a war between different kings and Lot becomes a captive and his goods are also taken!

- When Abraham hears about it, he takes 318 servants who are trained men and frees Lot and gets back his goods!

- So we see a man who is faithful to God and is also courageous and doesn’t hesitate to fight to help his own family!

- He is so different from Job’s family!

- In chapter 15, God appears to him in a vision telling Abraham he is with him!

- And he tells him he will get a son!

- When Abraham falls asleep, God tells him that his offspring will be foreigners and slaves for 400 years and then they will return to Canaan!

- Thus Abraham obeys God, he does his will without discussion!

- They communicate regularly!

- When God decides to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, they have a discussion and each time God tells Abraham that even if there are 50, 40, 30, 20 or ten righteous men but there aren’t any!

- Once again TOTAL CORRUPTION!

- There is no choice for God!

- There are only few individuals who keep faithful to God whereas the majority gets corrupted!

- It seems to be quite clear!

- Let’s go on with Joseph!

- Jacob has 12 sons!

- And God chooses one among them!

- Does he have a lot of choice?

- When we look at the history of Israel, the answer is no as usual!

- All the time it is the same story: many human beings but a very limited choice!

- And it the same with Israel!

- So it is normal that humanity always follows man’s tradition instead of God’s word!

- Thus human history is always the same chorus!

- The majority will always follow man’s tradition!

- Let’s go on with Moses!

- He was educated as a prince!

- Then he chose his people instead of the Egyptians!

- Then he became a shepherd!

- He was shy!

- But God trained him for a long time before he became the leader of Israel!

- And he needed someone exceptional for such a stubborn people!

- A people who spent his time complaining about everything!

- always ready for rebellion!

- And he saved them twice from destruction by God!

- And … And...And…

- AND HE DIED BECAUSE OF THEM!

- AND HE COULD NOT GET INTO THE PROMISED LAND BECAUSE OF THEM!

- And there is only one Moses!

- Who could have done it except him!

- WHAT AN INGRATITUDE!

- Let’s go on with Samuel!

- With Samuel it is quite simple!

- God had abandoned the country!

- So when Samuel is brought to the House of God to become a priest, Eli doesn’t realize all at once that God is calling him!

- You can imagine the situation in Israel!!

- And this special relationship will be built during all the life of Samuel starting as a child to his death!

- And it is Samuel’s mother who chooses to offer him in exchange of having Samuel!

- And God will accompany him all his life!

- How refreshing when we think of all this perpetual human corruption and spiritual prostitution which has been spreading through human history till now!

- Let’s go on with Daniel!

- Here we are told about 4 young men who are faithful to God!

- And the 4 are ready to die for their belief!

- But Daniel will take the lead!

- And all his history shows that he has everything to develop a special relationship to God!

- And he will keep developing this to make it grow!

- Think about David and Solomon!

- They could have done the same!

- But they took other directions!

- God will do his part if we do our part!

- But it is not enough!

- It is not a part time job or whenever we want!

- Or when we have time!

- That’s usually how human beings do it!

- No, it is a 24 hour job!

- There are no holiday in this case!

- It is like God’s creation!

- God and Jesus keep working!

- A never ending special relationship!

- And there is no better option!

- Except that the majority doesn’t care!

- They think that being tourists is enough!

- It tells about the degree of corruption!

Yes, read your Bible and apply it to your life. The most amazing book ever written because it is the Word of God !

What does it take to prevent man from falling into corruption ?

Looking back at Noah, Job, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Samuel and Daniel.
All men of great faith and belief that were not corrupt. All must have had highly respectful relationships with the Lord.
It is a shame that all of us were not likened to these men. Such a better life, such a better world.

God's plan is not entirely for us to understand. Many fail with this point.

But the majority of man falls into the corruption cycle over and over, dispensation after dispensation. Apparently man does not learn from the past. Odd how history is being avoided in this present age of deep corruption as if to not face the past. Perhaps man avoided looking back at history in past dispensations to free his mind from the concerns of punishment or failure.

History and the Bible warns man of past failures due to corruption.
The Bible provides guidance to avoid corruption, defines failures and gives warnings of failures, and finally warns/exacts punishment.
If man blocks history, the Bible and God out of his mind corruption and sin comes easy. God issues them a reprobate mind and their sin party begins !

God tried various forms of punishment. Man as a majority does not take heed to God's punishments. The Bible is clear on that point.

God loves us very much so this time he sent his only Son to die on the cross as a path for Salvation. Even the gift of Jesus was met with minimal acceptance.

It sure looks like God is allowing a slow process of punishment in this end times age perhaps to 'wake' us up. Ever increasing violence, increasing natural disasters, increasing wars and rumors of wars, increasing financial distress, etc. to assist in our awakening by arousing our fears and/or concerns. All these events are increasing the faith of the Believer - Praise the Lord ! Hopefully many will find Salvation.

So here we are living at the end of another cycle of corruption. A cycle of corruption like no other. God have mercy upon us. Pray for those that don't see nor hear. Thankfully God is still in control and left us with the Son, the Bible and the Holy Spirit.

Utterly amazing, from creation to this day. Thank you God for this awakening.

- Yes, Yes, Yes!

- It is a perpetual movement!

- If you stop it then corruption starts to develop and corrupts everything!

- Again think about David and Solomon!

- They started well and finished badly!

- It is better to start and finish badly because you lose everything!

- Job could not live without his direct link to God!

- I can’t!

- It is a pure nonsense to go backwards!

- But you first need to go forwards!

- We must always look forward and never backward!

- Think about Lot and his wife!

- Two different options with two different results!

- Quite simple!

- We must do the right choice!

- Yes, Yes, Yes!

- Man prefers a comfortable life or what he thinks is a comfortable life!

- You get money and more money and finally you die!

- That’s why man is trying to create an artificial world or artificial life!

- But we will always make a choice!

- When we decide not to do anything, it is a choice!

- It happened so many times in the Bible and in human history!

- So as we decide, we must also accept the consequences!

- We are responsible!

- We can’t say like Adam and eve!

- It is the snake or it the woman you gave me!

- We have free will and by what we do or not, we decide!

- We can close our eyes or shut our hears, we decide!

28) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 6

Darius appoints 120 satraps over the whole kingdom and among them three officials, one of whom is Daniel. And Daniel is distinguishing himself over the other high officials and the satraps, for there is an extraordinary spirit in him and the king intends to elevate him over the entire kingdom.

- Thus Kings change but Daniel stays and keeps his position!

- God keeps blessing him!

- Daniel is definitely a special one or as we will see later “a precious man”!

- There is no one like him because god is with him!

- And also because he is humble, he doesn’t look for honors!

- Humility is one of the best quality for God, if not the best one!

29) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 6

As a consequence, high officials and satraps are jealous of Daniel but they can’t find any accusation respecting matters of state because he is trustworthy, he isn’t negligent and he isn’t corrupted. So they know it can only be with Daniel’s religion. So they tell Darius to establish a royal decree and to enforce a ban for 30 days so nobody can make a petition to any god or man except to the king. And if he does, he should be thrown into the lions’ pit.

- So here again we are told about Daniel’s attitude: trustworthy, not negligent and not corrupted!

- He was really different with the other important people!

- Today it would be the same!

- Corruption is everywhere!

- So here again we can see the types of men God looks for!

- Something to remember and think about if we can do it!

30) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 6

As soon as the decree is signed, he prays God and everybody can see him. Then men arrive and take hold of him and bring him to the king. He doesn’t want Daniel to be thrown into the pit of lions but it is the law he has signed. He hopes that Daniel’s God will save him. Then he is thrown into the pit of lions. The king couldn’t sleep at night. Early in the morning he goes to the lions’ pit and he calls for Daniel who answers him. So he gives order to free Daniel and to put his accusers into the pit. When they reach the bottom of the pit, they are eaten by the lions. And Daniel keeps prospering in the kingdom of Darius.

- Nothing is more important for Daniel than his relationship to God!

- So as soon as he is told about the decree, he prays God!

- What an example of faith!

- Here we have an other opportunity to see the nature of his relationship with God!

- Completely different from the one the Israelites have with God!

- Let the one having ears and eyes listen and read carefully!

- God is looking for such people, not for those who are spiritually deaf and blind!

31) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 7

Daniel has a vision about the future and the end and he writes it down. And he is afraid of what he sees. His thoughts alarm him greatly, so that he turns pale.

- Daniel has a vision!

- But it is like a nightmare!

- Thus he is afraid!

- And more than that!

- Should we be afraid?

32) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 8

Daniel has another vision about the future and the end. He is terrified. Then he feels exhausted and he is sick for some days.

- Do you see the evolution?

- First he is afraid and greatly alarmed and he turns pale!

- Then he is terrified and sick for some days!

- What about us?

33) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 9

Daniel speaks about the 70 years for Jerusalem to stay desolated and to be reconstructed. Then he prays God so that Jerusalem can be reconstructed. In his prayer, he speaks about Israel: the country has sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled and has deviated from God’s commandments and judgments and has not listened to God’s servants and prophets. And shame belongs to Israel: the country has acted unfaithfully and has rebelled and not obeyed the voice of God. And Israel has paid a high price for its attitude. And Daniel asks for forgiveness. And because DANIEL IS A PRECIOUS MAN, he is told that Jerusalem will be rebuilt and Messiah will come and will be put to death and a foreign nation will destroy Jerusalem. And after that there will be wars. And it is spoken about extermination.

- Yes, Daniel is called PRECIOUS MAN!

- And in his prayer he speaks about every sin Israel has committed!

- And he is told about the reconstruction of Jerusalem!

- And about the coming of Messiah and his death!

- And the destruction of Jerusalem!

- And Israel will keep acting badly!

- And turning away from God!

- And the same for humanity!

- They will never listen because they don’t care!

- And God will cleanse this world!

- No need to cry for it because it deserves it just like Israel!

34) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 10

Daniel is given a revelation about a great conflict. He has been mourning for three full weeks. When he sees the vision, the men with him don’t see it but a great trembling seizes them and they run away and hide. And because of what he sees, there is no power left in him and his dignified appearance leaves him and he loses all strength. Once again he is called PRECIOUS MAN. Daniel is trembling. His prayer has been heard because of his attitude and his humility. So Daniel is told about the final part of the days. But Daniel says he has no strength and no breath is left in him.

- Through all the Bible men have been warned!

- And here it is the same story!

- And when Daniel has a new vision, it is so powerful that he can’t stand it!

- Do you have an idea of what is going to happen when Jesus comes back as a warrior to cleanse the earth under the orders of his father?

- Think about the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans!

- But it will be nothing compared to what will happen to the world!

- But humanity keeps acting as if everything was normal!

- Of course, they are a bit afraid because the situation is degrading!

- Even when we know, it will be a surprise!

- Because at the present time we see things we could have never imagined at all!

- And we will see a lot more!

- But it will be nothing compared to the coming of Jesus as a king and warrior!

35) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 11

Here we are told about a refining work and a cleansing and a whitening until the time of the end.

- Refining work and cleansing and whitening!

- It requires a lot of work!

- It requires to be 100% active!

- It requires personal implication!

- Action is necessary!

- Reading the Bible carefully to understand it!

- Nobody can stand quietly!

- Daniel couldn’t do it in his visions!

- Everybody must prepare oneself and encourage others to do the same!

- First you need to save yourself!

- Second help others to save themselves!

- But if you wait for others to save you it won’t work!

- Personal implication is required from everybody!

- being lukewarm doesn’t work!

- it has never worked!

- And people keep thinking it will work for them!

- Bad choice!

36) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 12

In Daniel’s vision we are told about a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down in the book. And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life and others to reproach and to everlasting contempt. “And those having insight will shine as brightly as the expanse of heaven, and those bringing the many to righteousness like the stars, forever and ever… Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those having insight will understand.

- yes, DISTRESS!

- The possibility to wake up!

- The possibility to cleanse and whiten oneself and be refined!

- But it is necessary to make efforts!

- NO EFFORT, NO REFINING!

- And the wicked one won’t understand!

- He will keep doing his business!

37) God and Daniel / Daniel and God

Daniel 1:

- Daniel is brought to Babylon because he is young without any defect, of good appearance, endowed with wisdom, knowledge, and discernment, and capable of serving in the king’s palace!

- And the more we read the book of Daniel, the more it appears that all this is connected to Daniel’s relationship with God!

- Every aspect of his life has something to do with this relationship!

- No God, No Daniel!

- And the more he learns the more he gets closer to God!

- There is only another way that is getting away from God!

- This relationship evolves perpetually!

- It has to be build up continually!

- Otherwise it goes away!

- There isn’t a third option!

- One way or the other!

- And it is a personal choice!

- Something you have to work at personally or not!

- You can’t take a break otherwise you go the other way!

- BURNING OR FREEZING!

38) God and Daniel / Daniel and God

Daniel 1:

- But Daniel resolves in his heart that he won’t defile himself with the king’s delicacies or with the wine He drinks!

- So he asks the principal court official for permission not to defile himself in this way!

- And the true God causes the principal court official to show Daniel favor and mercy!

- God first!

- In any aspect of Daniel’s life!

- In particular food and beverages!

- So Daniel doesn’t wait, he acts straight away!

- He doesn’t let the others act for him!

- And God is always present!

- That’s what we can call a deep and straight relationship!

39) God and Daniel / Daniel and God
Daniel 1:

- But the principal court official says to Daniel: “I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink!

- What if he should see you looking worse in appearance than the other youths of your age?

- You would make me guilty before the king!

- But Daniel says to the guardian whom the principal court official has appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: “Please, test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink; then compare our appearance with the appearance of the youths who are eating the king’s delicacies, and deal with your servants according to what you see.”

- At the end of ten days their appearance is better and healthier than all the youths who are eating the king’s delicacies!

- And the true God give these four youths knowledge and insight into every kind of writing and wisdom; and Daniel is given understanding in all sorts of visions and dreams!

- Daniel is always ready to defend his relationship with God so he doesn’t lose time but acts all at once!

- And he knows what to do and what to say!

- Of course, he may receive God’s help and spirit!

- Because both Daniel and God are part of the deal and each one play his part!

- We are only told about Daniel and his three companions!

- But Daniel is above!

- He gets more because his relationship with God is stronger!

- Of course, his three companions have a strong relationship with God!

- And Daniel’s companions are not jealous about Daniel’s relationship with God!

- They can also benefit too!
