What is the difference between dream and vision biblically?

A vision occurs when a person is awake and alert; a dream occurs when a person is asleep
. Peter was awake for his vision of the unclean food (Acts 10:9-23). John was awake for his vision recorded in Revelation (Revelation 1:9-11).13 nov 2020

Can a dream be a vision?

The main difference between dreams and visions is that the person seeing vision is completely aware about their thoughts, but the dreams can be predictive and the person is not awake.

- Let’s analyze the context to understand the situation:

- If there are different words as dream and vision are different, when we look at the context, we realize that both mix regularly so it is difficult to know what is what or who is who!

- Now there is another point to think about!

- It is the difference between what is from man and what is from God!

- When a man dreams, he usually can’t remember precisely what happened and he forgets because a dream doesn’t last long!

- Now the dreams in the book of Daniel are visions the king can perfectly remember and describe with details!

- Moreover, When God transmits the “dream” and its interpretation it is definitely a vision, Daniel is conscious!

- It is a transmission:

27) Looking for Daniel

Daniel 5

We are told about king Belshazzar who is having a great feast and he is drunk and he tells to bring the vessels taken by his father Nebuchadnezzar from the temple of Jerusalem. And they drink in it which is definitely an offense to God. Then a man’s hand begins writing on the plaster of the wall and everybody can see it. Then the king turns pale and his thoughts terrify him and his hips shake and his knees begin to knock together. The man who can make the interpretation of the words written on the wall will receive many gifts and will become the third figure of Babylon. But nobody can make the interpretation. So the king speaks about Daniel who is brought in before the king. Daniel will make the interpretation but he doesn’t care about the king’s gifts. He first speaks about his father who was warned by God and didn’t change of attitude. And it is the same with king Belshazzar. And they used the vessels from the temple of Jerusalem when it is sacred. As a consequence, Babylon will fall in the hands of the Medes and the Persians. And the very night of the feast Belshazzar is killed and Darius the Mede receives the kingdom when he is 62.

- Once again a good example we may try to remember as a warning!

- Those who don’t care about God will pay the price!

- Belshazzar didn’t listen and was killed!

- We may remember the meaning of Tekel, that is “you have been weighed in the balances and found lacking.”!

- It can’t be clearer even if human beings don’t want to listen!

- Thus everyone will be weigh in the balances!

- Let’s also remember how Daniel reacted!

- He didn’t care about privileges!

- He just wanted to serve God faithfully!

- It can’t be clearer even if human beings don’t want to listen!
If people were the sheep of the hand of the Lord, to day they will hear HIs voice.

The sheep hear the vice of the Shepherd, calling His sheep and leading them out.

The Shepherd has sheep, who hear His voice, THEM HE MUST BRING ( they are HIs sheep) THEY SHALL HEAR HIS VOICE.

The sheep hear His voice, HE KNOWS THEM, THEY FOLLOW HIM.

Psalm 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

" It can’t be clearer even if human beings don’t want to listen"

It can be clearer.

It is told and was not believed.

That the works the good Shepherd did in the Fathers name, bear witness of Christ. ( lay HIs life down to take it again to feed the sheep.)

But they never believed who hear without looking for that Word, because they are not His sheep ( His sheep hear Him, and not wolves and thieves and robbers.)

HIs sheep hear HIS VOICE, He knows them, they follow HIM....

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
- My answer:

- Yes, yes, yes but:

- Do you know what means PATIENCE FROM GOD!

- Do you know what means REPENTANCE FROM MAN!

- Have you read the whole Bible? If not you should!

- Think about Israel!

- God could have destroyed completely many times!

- But because of Moses, he didn’t do it!

- Then all the time they follow God for a while and then they practice spiritual prostitution!

- And again and again and again!

- Finally he rejected them!

- And it is the same with humanity!
