85) Leviticus 10


- Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu offer before God unauthorized fire!


- The PUNISHMENT occurs all at once!


- A fire comes out from before God and consumes them and they die before God!


- It should remind us that nobody is too important in front of God!

- On the contrary, when people have more responsibilities regarding God, they should be more careful because they won’t escape their mistakes!


- HISTORY shows that important people usually don’t care!


- And it is so true today!
 
86) Leviticus 18


- STAY CLEAN OR THE LAND WILL VOMIT YOU OUT


- But they didn’t listen!


- NEVER!


- What about us?


- It is not better today!
 
87) Numbers 11


4) ISRAEL COMPLAINS BEFORE GOD


2) ISRAEL GETS INTO BIG TROUBLES


- God is so angry that he sends a fire to blaze against the Israelites!


- Then the people begin to cry out to Moses!


- He makes supplications to God!


- The fire dies out!
 
88) Numbers 12


- Miriam and Aaron begin to speak against Moses!


- They are jealous of his authority!


- Moses is by far the meekest of all the men!


- According to God, no discussion is possible!


- Because he speaks to him face-to-face!


- There is no vision between them!


- And God becomes very angry at them!


- And Miriam is struck with leprosy!


- Aaron asks Moses to pardon them and recognizes their foolishness!


- And he asks Moses to speak to God to stop Miriam’s leprosy because it is getting worse and worse!


- And Moses begins to cry out to God!


- And God tells her to be quarantined for seven days outside the camp!


- The Israelites were warned so many times and they didn’t care!


- And it is the same with humanity!


- And people don’t care!


- And people don’t understand God’s patience!


- When he finally strikes humanity, it will only be deserved!
 
89) Numbers 13


- Moses sends 12 spies into the land of Canaan!


- After 40 days the spies return!


- Ten spies say it is a good land but the people are too strong!


- But Caleb tries to calm the people and tell them to go straight away and take possession of the land!


- But the 10 speak against him!
 
90) Numbers 14


- And people keep crying out and weeping through the night!


5) AND ALL THE ISRAELITES BEGIN TO MURMUR AGAINST MOSES AND AARON AND GOD


- And the whole assembly speaks against them!


- And they want to return to Egypt!


- JUST CRAZY PEOPLE!


- And Joshua and Caleb tell the assembly that God is with us and he will give them the victory!


- And they tell them not to rebel against God!


- But the assembly wants to stone them!


- UNBELIEVABLE!


3) ISRAEL GETS INTO BIG TROUBLES


- And God wants to strike them with pestilence and drive them away and make a great nation of Moses!


- But once again Moses calms God!


- And God listens to Moses!


- But he punishes them!


- The Israelites will wander in the desert for 40 years and die!


- Only Caleb and Joshua will survive and get into the promised land!


- And their children will pay for their fathers’ sins by staying in the desert for 40 years!


- But the Israelites disobey God and try to enter into the promised land but they are struck by the Amalekites and the Canaanites!
 
91) Numbers 16


- Korah, Dathan and Abiram and 250 men oppose Moses and Aaron!


- The next day, they will offer sacrifices and God will show who is the leader!


- Moses tells the assembly to go away from these wicked men!


- And the earth opens and swallows the three men and everything that belongs to them!


- And a fire consumes 250 men!


6) AND ALL THE ISRAELITES BEGIN TO MURMUR AGAINST MOSES AND AARON


- As if it is not sufficient, the next day the whole assembly of the Israelites begin to murmur against Moses and Aaron!


4) ISRAEL GETS INTO BIG TROUBLES


- And God wants to exterminate the assembly!


- And people start to die!


- So Moses tells Aaron to make atonement for them!


- And Aaron keeps standing between the dead and the living and the scourge stops!


- And 14,700 people die!
 
92) Numbers 17


- God tells Moses to take a rod from the chieftains of each paternal house, 12 rods in all and write the name of each one on his rod and deposit the rods in the tent of meeting before the testimony!


- And the rod of the man whom God chooses will bud!


- Thus God will put a stop to the murmuring of the Israelites against God!


- The next day Aaron’s rod is budded with flowers and almonds!

- Then they keep Aaron’s rod as a sign to stop the murmuring of the Israelites!
 
93) Numbers 20


7) There is no water and the Israelites gather against Moses and Aaron!


- They quarrel with Moses!


- God tells Moses to get water from a crag!


- So Moses does it but without giving the credit to God!


- As a consequence, God punishes Moses and he won’t lead the Israelites into Canaan!


- And Aaron will also die and not enter Canaan!


- Thus Eleazar, Aaron’s son, becomes high priest!


- Then Edom refuses to allow Israel to pass through his territory!
 
94) Numbers 21


- First Israel is beaten by the Canaanite king of Arad but then God gives him to Israel!


- Then Israel destroys all his cities!


8) Israel keeps speaking against God and Moses as they complain about the lack of food and water!


5) ISRAEL GETS INTO BIG TROUBLES


- God sends poisonous serpents and Israelites die!


- So they ask Moses to intercede with God!


- So God tells Moses to make a copper serpent and the Israelites who are bitten must look at it to keep alive!


- And Israel defeats different kings and destroys their peoples and takes possession of their lands!
 
95) Numbers 22

- Balak the king of Moab wants to pay Balaam to curse Israel!


- But God tells him not to curse Israel!


- Balak asks for Balaam a second time and God tells him to go to Balak but he must say what God tells him!


- And God puts an angel in the road taken by Balaam!


- And he has a sword!


- Balaam can’t see the angel but his donkey can and refuses to go ahead!


- Balaam begins to beat his donkey!


- Finally the donkey doesn’t want to go ahead and lays down!


- Balaam is furious!


- Then God causes the donkey to speak!


- At last, God lets Balaam see the angel with the sword!


- Then God’s angel tells Balaam that if his donkey had not avoided him, he would have killed him!
 
96) Numbers 23-24


- Finally Balaam blesses Israel according to God’s will!


- He can only bless Israel!


- So Balaam blesses Israel three times!


- And Balak becomes furious with Balaam!

- Before going back home, Balaam tells Balak that Israel will destroy all his enemies!
 
97) Numbers 25


- In fact, Israel is its worst enemy!


- The people commit sexual immorality with the daughters of Moab!


- Because of the Moabites, they worship their gods!


- So God becomes enraged with Israel!


- God tells Moses to hang all the leaders of these people!


- When Moses orders the judges of Israel to kill the men who worship the Baal of Peor, a man brings a Midianite woman before Moses and the assembly of the Israelites!


- Then Phineas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pierces both the man and the woman through her genital parts!


- All at once the scourge stops and 24,000 people die!


- Then God gives Phineas his covenant of peace that is a covenant of a lasting priesthood for Phineas and his offspring after Phineas!


- Then God says to Moses to strike the Midianites for revenge!
 
98) Numbers 27


God tells Moses to lay his hands on Joshua who is to become the new leader of Israel to lead the people into the promised land!


- Then he must commission him before Eleazar the priest and before all the assembly!
 
99) Numbers 31


- God tells Moses to defeat Midian to execute God’s vengeance on Midian!

- They kill the men and the kings and Balaam and make captive the women and children of Midian and plunder all their domestic animals and livestock and all their possessions and they burn their cities!

- Moses grows indignant at the leaders because they have preserved all the females who had the Israelites sinned against God!

- Now he tells them to kill everyone except the virgins!
 
100) Deuteronomy 1

  • Moses reminds the Israelites of their opposition to get into the promised land!
  • He tells about the 12 spies who went to Canaan!
  • Only 2 of them - Caleb and Joshua - told the Israelites to put their confidence in Yah.weh!
  • As a consequence, only Caleb and Joshua would enter Canaan!
  • The other Israelites would die in the desert!
  • Only their children would enter Canaan!
  • Once again, the Israelites didn’t listen to Yah.weh!
  • They tried to enter the promised land!
  • And they lost!
 
101)

  • After 40 years in the desert, after all men have died, it was time for the Israelites to get into the promised land!
  • Moses could not enter the promised land because of the Israelites!
  • Moses tells the Israelites to obey Yah.weh!
  • Israel makes a covenant with Yah.weh in Horeb!
  • Parents had to instruct their children according to Yah.weh’s way!
  • Moses gives the israelites Yah.weh’s Law!
  • He told them everything!
  • Then he died!
 
102 ) JOSHUA

JOSHUA CHAPTER 1

- Moses has died!

- Now Joshua is the new leader of Israel!

JOSHUA CHAPTER 2

- Joshua sends 2 spies to the city of Jericho!

- And they enter the house of the prostitute Rahab!

- So the king of the city sends men to get the two spies!

- And she hides them saying they have gone away!

- In exchange she asks for protection for her and her family when Israel attacks the city!

- But she must tie a cord of scarlet thread in a window so the Israelites will protect her!

JOSHUA CHAPTER 6

- Then Jericho is destroyed and with all its inhabitants except Rahab and her family!

- And Joshua becomes famous!
 
103) JOSHUA CHAPTER 7

- It doesn’t matter who the leader is, the Israelites as a people are a catastrophe!

- It is in their DNA!

- It is like evil inside!

- But once again mankind is not better!

- Some individuals are incredible!

- But the majority is a shame to humanity!

- People can blame the devil but people can only blame themselves!

- Adam and Eve are the worst examples of humanity because they were perfect!

- And Adam is the worst because he chose to follow Eve being afraid of losing her!

- It also shows how they were one!

- But Adam acted selfishly because he didn’t think about his descendants!

- Because of him they would have to walk in the “desert” like the Israelites who paid for their errors!
 
104) JOSHUA

CHAPTER 7

- The Israelites don’t obey, they don’t destroy what they were supposed to in Jericho!

- God is angry at them!

- After Jericho, the Israelites are supposed to attack the city of Ai!

- But the Israelites are defeated!

- Joshua rips his garments and falls with his face to the ground!

- And God tells Joshua that the Israelites have sinned against him!

- They have violated God’s covenant!

- They have taken some of what was devoted to destruction, stealing it and secretly putting it among their own possessions!

- If they don’t destroy what was devoted to destruction, they won’t be able to stand against their enemies!

- And Achan took an official garment and money and he hid everything inside his tent!

- Think of that the people had to pay for one man!

- It is the same with humanity having to pay because of Adam!

- Now think about today and all the corruption because of man’s tradition vs God’s word!

- And it is not because of one man but because of the majority like in the case of the Israelites through all their history!
