Mary’s mediatrix in Jn 2

1 tim 2:5 is wrong and the bible is error

You have a choice just like the rest of us to believe what the scriptures teach or the teachings of Catholicism.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

As for me and my house we will believe and therefore practice what the scriptures teach.

JLB

If Christ is the absolute and only mediator then the apostles CANNOT have any ministry!

The Apostles of Jesus Christ teach what Jesus Christ taught them.

And it was told Him by some, who said, “Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see You.”
But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”
Luke 8:20-21

Luke 8:20-21
How can they possibly teach anything? Christ is the one who must teach! One mediator is absolute law!

Luke 8:20-21
No one may do this!
Only Christ!
That’s a fundamentalist law!

Mary’s mediatrix in Jn 2

Jn 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Matthew 9:17
Neither do men put new wine into old wine skins else the skins break, and the wine runneth out, and the skins perish: but they put new wine into new skins, and both are preserved. (New wine refers to the grace of the new covenant)

The wine is type of grace!
(The grace of the new covenant)

The bridegroom is a type of Christ!
(Saved the best for last, new covenant grace)
The bride a type of the church!

Mary intercedes and obtains the grace the bride of Christ needs!

And thru Mary’s intercession the disciples believed! Jn 2:11
Please don't allegorize a historical miracle of Jesus. If you do such thinking about any historical part of the Bible, you make it say anything you want it to say. Just celebrate Jesus' miraculous power to show that he is God.

Show me a teaching of the Bible that says we should pray to Mary, and I'll be convinced.

Take Mark's account. He adds an earlier verse that supplies their motive for coming to seize (meaning "arrest") him:
Mar 3:21 And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He is out of his mind.” Mary was among the family who wanted to reign in Jesus' ministry. They weren't doing God's word at that point, and Mary wasn't a good "mediatrix" either.

God is the “source and first cause,” of all good, this does not exclude another immediate cause that is chosen and authorized by God to accomplish His will & purpose!

Examples:

Noah:
Moses:
Joshua:

(Primary cause)

God is the source, first, & remote cause of the salvation of the family of Noah from the flood!

(Secondary cause)

Noah is the “immediate” cause of the salvation of the family of Noah from the flood!

Noah believed God:
Noah consented to God will & plan of salvation:
Noah puts his faith into action by obedience to God & building the ark:

(Primary cause)

God is the source, first, & remote cause of the salvation of the children of Israel from Egypt!

(Secondary cause)

Moses is the immediate cause of the salvation of the of the children of Israel from Egypt!

Moses puts his faith into action by obedience to God, going back to Egypt and delivering the children of Israel from bondage.

(Primary cause)

God is the source, first, & remote cause of the children of Israel entering the promised land!

(Secondary cause)

Joshua is the immediate cause of the children of Israel entering the promised land!

Joshua puts his faith into action by obedience to God, and leading the children of Israel into the promised land.

These are “type and figures of our salvation!”

Mary & The great affair of “our salvation!”

(Primary cause)

God is the source, first, & remote cause of “our salvation!”

(Secondary cause)

Mary is the immediate cause of “our salvation!”

Mary found grace with God. Lk 1:30

Mary believed God. Lk 1:45

Mary put her faith into action by obedience to God by consenting to “our salvation.”

Mary consented to “our salvation.” Lk 1:38

And By the conception of the Holy Spirit!

Mary is the fruitful virgin who conceived by the power of the most high. Matt 1:

And by bearing in Her sacred womb “our salvation.”

And by giving birth to “our salvation.”

Mary gave birth to “our salvation.”

You would never say: “Noah had zero to do with the salvation of his family from the flood!” Or that “Moses had zero to do with the salvation of children of Israel from bondage in Egypt,” or that Joshua has zero to do with the children of Israel entering the promised land.”
These are all in this life. Show me where the Bible says that Mary and the saints have any role in our salvation after they have died.

Why does it need to be in yhe bile yo be true, the bible does not support this idea.

Jn 21:25

And Christ established the church matt 16:18-19 to teach all men ‘Matt 28:19

These are all in this life. Show me where the Bible says that Mary and the saints have any role in our salvation after they have died.
God of the living!

Matthew 22:32
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Jn 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Christ shares His glory with His saints.

Jn 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, (Lk1:45)

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Romans 8:30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

2 Thessalonians 1:10
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

1 pet 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Only one mediator?

1 Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

NOT found in the Bible are..........

“prayer to saints”

1st we don’t pray to saints, our prayers are directed to God (who alone can hear and answer prayer) thru the intercession of the saints rev 5:8 with the ministering angels. Heb 1:14

Jesus Christ is the Head of the church Eph 5:23 the only mediator 1 Tim 2:5 and chief intercessor, makes intercession for the saints! (The church) Rom 8:26-27 8:34 heb 7:25

The saints also make intercession!

1 Timothy 2:1
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Revelation 5:8
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Revelation 8:3
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Revelation 8:4
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

James 5:16 …The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. How much more the Mother of God? Christ honors Mary! Honor Thy father and mother!

Jn 11:25 (the saints are alive) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Lk 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

All generations call me blessed! Lk 1:
Thanksgiving in praise of Mary for bearing our savior! Matt 1:23 And finding our salvation! Lk 1:30

Praise honor veneration and devotion redound to the Glory of God who created Mary immaculate Lk 1:49 as Christ source of all grace! Jn 1:16-17

Praise, honor, veneration, and devotion are not worship, worship requires intent!

Mary all powerful advocate!
Help of Christian’s!

Mary ever virgin, mother of God, is all powerful in her prayers!

Mary’s prayers are all powerful not cos she is God but because her son is God!

and on becoming man He (Jesus) obeyed his own commandments

you might check out the one that says “honor Thy father and mother”

“My hour has not come”

The time set by almighty God for the public ministry of Christ had not come, Jesus Christ still performed the miracle cos his mother interceded, thus a higher law, “honor thy father and mother” if ANYONE else asked it would NOT have been done!
John 2

and cos of her intercession the disciples believed in Him!
Jn 2:11

Jesus said
“My hour has not come” also indicates Mary’s intimate role in salvation history!

When His has come she would be there and very involved!

Luke 2:35
(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Jn 19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Our spiritual mother!

Sir I have posted scripture that says we have one Mediator not two; Not a Mediator and mediatrix.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

Saying that we should go to Mary who will then go to Jesus on our behalf….

Sounds like polytheism.

Is that absolute law?

Is that absolute law?

It’s scripture; the doctrine of Christ

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

He is very capable of being a Mediator. He gave His life for you and I and is seated at the right hand of God.
