I am 79 years old and have been a believer for 68 years. I have been blessed to be exposed to many strands of the Christian church and many of the best bible teachers in Christendom.
I lived in the UK for 40 years before moving to Australia. Whilst in the UK I was part of a church that was a founder of the Renewal Movement of the 60's and 70's and which was used by God in birthing churches all over the country. We gave legs to the idea of the priesthood of ALL believers inasmuch anyone coud contribute to a meeting with a word, prophecy, word of knowledge, teaching or worship songs.
In Australia I have never come across a church like it.
I am an avid reader with a personal library of over 1,000 books, and I study nearly every day to expand my knowledge of scripture. On my journey I attended a Brethren Bible College for a degree in Theology, university for undergraduate degrees in Social Science, post graduate degrees in Politics and Teaching. I recently completed a disertation for a Ph.D. the subject matter which was the Life and Leadership of the New Testament Church (NTC). I had to go behind the scenes and it was an eye opener because what the NTC did and how it conducted itself is nothing like the present day church. One might say I have been led up the garden path with present day church life.
I have been married for 51 years, have a beautiful daughter and a mischievous son and 12 grandchildren. I could not have asked for better. Some people think I am abrupt and arrogant. I am not. I am autistic which means that I will dig deep to ascertain the facts of the matter and when I know what they are, then and only then will I speak. Which means I am very sure of what I know and believe, spending so much time investigating a matter. Having said that you are welcome to believe or accept or not whatever I say.
I have no real interest in my opinion or anyone elses for that matter so I have a tendency to say thanks but no thanks.
The best way to learn is by giving, so that is why I am here to give what I know to be the truth so that I will learn and that others will learn as well. I was annointed by prophecy with the gift of a teacher and that is what I became in the world and in the church.
