Some people consider men weak when they cry.

My husband witnessed the birth of our three sons and he cried each time.

Why do we associate men crying with weakness. It may not be the traditional thing in our culture, but men have emotions too.

However, Steve's a very strong guy too. He's not the least bit weak...

It's a real myth that guys who cry are weak.

Men are seen as the head of the household. Including the defender of his home, and his family. Typically, people look at the head of a household as a big, strong willed man. However; men think that when they cry, it destroys there reputation of having a strong will.

Some women don't help this either. A lot of women publicly admit that they want a strong man, and that watching him cry is not a good thing. I do believe, however; that women who see men as weak when they cry, are the vocal minority.

To be honest, I don't cry much at all. The only time I really let my guard down is during certain events (like the birth of a child, death of a loved one, or the loss of a loved one). I mean, after all I am human. I have compassion, and sorrow. So things like that are going to happen. The only people who believe its not okay to cry, are the people who are ignorant to the fact that we, as men are not human.

Just my two cents.

There's a difference between an actual wimp, and a guy that is sensitive.

Maybe it depends on what the guy cries about.
