Men Crying

even like this i have cried more then that in my life.

Alright. 'Tis preposterous to say a 'man' has never cried before. I stand corrected today. Most think it's abberration that soldiers cry. Did you read the Spartan, Greek etc... and ancient soldiers stuff? Folks never cried, I read.

Does a male cry before a female? It's a sin to do that. But does a woman cry before a man? It's a tradition :lol

My husband cries a lot. Seriously, he gets very emotional about a lot of things... the kids, me,

:lol He even cried when Robert Parrish retired and they hung his jersey in honor.

However, Steve's a very strong guy too. He's not the least bit weak...

It's a real myth that guys who cry are weak.

Hey, I cry a lot as well, and I don't consider myself all that weak.

haha, a child can definitly make you do that. Me, as the "man" of the house, i never do cry, if i do, it's on my own time when i'm alone but for no reason no. Not for pain, not for movies or any of that.

A death can cause that, and when my son was born (4 months ago) i cried like i never cried before. i was literally sobbing. i couldn't help my self, it was just one of the greatest feelings that i have a son!

i even walked into the main hallway yelling, i have a son! i have a son! while crying still haha.

i couldn't help my self though. But otherwise, nah i don't cry. I definitly don't consider "crying" a weakness, only a jerk of a woman would take advantage by calling a man weak cuz of a tear. Some people just cope differently.

I think there is a difference between a man who cries and a crybaby.

Most women can cry on a dime and if you ask them why, they don't even know.... It's just part of their dna I suppose :D

Most men on the other hand are wired just a bit different than most women. Most men know exactly why they are crying on the occasions that we actually cry.

Along with that, most men want to come across as strong and secure and crying is a sign of weakness when it comes to the little chicken syndrome that testosterone seems to play a role in when one starts hitting adolescence and when a spoiled girly boy (pre-adlescence) cries like a baby because he didn't get his way or cries like a baby if he gets a paper cut, you can bet the boys with more testosterone are the first to jump on the band wagon and tease the little boy like a weak chicken until he goes crying to mommy.

As for myself, my Dad was a tough bird and I don't think I've ever seen him cry. It was in his culture and upbringing.

I think this picture about sums it up.

david was a man of war and wept.

For both men and women there is a time for laughing, for being tough, for being tender and for crying.

I do not believe there is any woman or any man that does not cry from time to time unless they are emotionally crippled by lack of proper attachment in their childhood.

The things that make me cry most often are tragic things on the news or in real life and people overcoming problems and experiencing great joy - even if that is simply a wonderful singer overcoming dreadful nerves of X-factor.
