How many of you remember that show from your youth? I just had to say that even though I might be a twenty-seven year old woman, I still love Mister Rogers. Not only was he a minister and a huge advocate for Jesus, but he was a huge role model for children everywhere. He taught us that we all are special and what a wonderful feeling it is just knowing that we're alive. You don't get too much of those type of messages on television anymore unfortunately. When I get to Heaven I really hope that Fred will be standing by Jesus at the gate and welcoming me there asking me to be his neighbor once again. We will always miss you Fred, the world hasn't been the same ever since you went home and it will never be again There will always ever be only one Fred Rogers.

I didn't really watch Mr Rogers - for some reason I found him to be a little strange. I preferred Mr Dressup and the Friendly Giant (both Canadian fare).

After a long and hard day it's good to just listen to this song. Time to get ready for bed now. :sleep

He was a lovely person. I came across a story from someone who met him who had grown up watching the show, and he missed an appointment to talk to them about stuff they were struggling with.

This was one my most favourite tv shows along with Today’s special in the 80’s along with fraggle rock, and I got plenty of where that comes from.
