The church is the true body of Christ...not all the different churches and denominations with their false gospel. The body has always needed to beware of false teachers. We were never to be a part of their assemblies. There are many churches that are nothing more than the world...of course we come out from among them. We've always been called to be separate from the world's religions...even when they call themselves Christian.

I am interested, where is the cut off point? When do we leave. :)

I can only share my experience, brother.

I've visited many churches over the years.
When I see love, I give it a chance.
When I see hypocrisy, I leave.
When I hear false teaching, I leave.

There hasn't been a time when I haven't been able to find like minded believers that are more than happy to meet in someone's home and start our own fellowship. There are many people who love the Lord and are unhappy in their present congregations. They're hungry for fellowship with substance and not just form. Coming from the Bend Fellowship (home of Shield of Faith Mission International), I was grounded in New Testament style fellowships and simply sharing my experience has been enough to draw people together. When I move to a new area, I ask friends if they know anyone from there, and most times I'm told of people meeting in someone's home. We're out there...and not in fancy church buildings. :yes

We must leave such teachers who tickle the ear.

That is right : we come out.

Remember, in context, I was refering to what happened AFTER the Reformation. Way before Revelation was written. "Come out" in Revelation is not refering to religious denominations, even false ones, say the Gnostics or Judaizers. Other sections of Scriptures do tell us about leaving false teachers, but at the same time, these writers of Scriptures presume we can FIND the TRUE teachers of the Gospel, not that we need to retreat into our own selves.

Yes, we must not retreat into ourselves. God is able when we ask Him , to provide us with teachers that preach the pure gospel. We walk out of the false, and we fellowship where we find the Bread served without leaven added. Leaven makes is pleasing for the flesh.

Here are the seven churches : Isa 4:1 And seven women shall take hold of one man (Christ) in that day, saying, We will eat our own bread (Remember the woman at the mill ? Milling the wheat for bread? ) , and wear our own apparel: (We have our righteousness according to our gospel ) only let us be called by thy name; (Please call us Christians) take thou away our reproach. (but even so: please still give us eternal life )

Here is the whole chapter:

Isa 4:1 And seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name; take thou away our reproach.
Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of Jehovah be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
Isa 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion,(Kingdom of God) and he that remaineth in Jerusalem,(The city on a hill, where God reigns in the hearts of men) shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem;
Isa 4:4 when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion,(Churches) and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning. (God is going to first judge the house of God)
Isa 4:5 And Jehovah will create over the whole habitation of mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be spread a covering.
Isa 4:6 And there shall be a pavilion for a shade in the day-time from the heat, and for a refuge and for a covert from storm and from rain.

God is preparing the branch (Jesus is the Vine !...we are the branches) So , out of the daughters will come the Bride. She is obviously going to leave some of them behind. She is walking out, because not all will let go of "their own bread"

yes, they are the apostles and their successors...the Pastorals are examples of this. The teachers commissioned by Christ through the laying of hands by those in authority are those we are to follow.

I admit that is quite an innovative way of looking at the Scriptures! Methinks you are prooftexting again...

Take care

Prooftexting or "taking a quote out of context" is only so, when the Bible as a whole does not support what you are saying. :)

So lets have a look if I did that:

The "woman at the mill' or Harlot is indeed making her own "bread". She is rejected as we have seen.

The concept is simple. Its based on the fact that the Bible has one Author and when He had done writing He said: Rev 22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

Now when we compare "bread" with "Word" we get:

Exo 16:4 Then said Jehovah unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.

Joh 6:32 Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, It was not Moses that gave you the bread out of heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven.Joh 6:33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Joh 6:41 The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, I am the bread which came down out of heaven.

Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.

Now we have to find the Bread that we can eat today.

Jesus = Word

1Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life

The Bread of life = The Word of life = Jesus.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Now find the seeds that we receive;

Isa 55:10 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

Mar 4:14 The sower soweth the word.

Now here again, we see the two religious groups at work , both with their "seed" (words) Mat 24:41 two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.
But we also have this picture of seven women making bread Isa 4:1 And seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name; take thou away our reproach.

God uses seven women in another "type and shadow" that points to the church: Exo 2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters:(The seven churches) and they came and drew water (another type for "the Word" is water: out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water ) and (Moses hit the Rock, and water flowed from it) and (Moses means "drawn from the water" as in "coming from the Word ), and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
Exo 2:17 And the shepherds (Yes the "shepherds" that God is against !) came and drove them away;(From the Water/Word) but Moses (Christ) stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. (Moses = Christ in the end time shephards who manifest Christ according to Eph 4 so:Eze 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. )

So we see that seven women indeed point to the seven churches in type. We also see that bread and seed are types for the Word. Lev 19:19 .......thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed:.........

So we have two groups within the group called "church" today. Those with seed and those with mixed seed. The mixed seed group falls under the Harlot for reasons explained and fall under this judgement:
Rev 22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.
because they have been making "their own bread"

blessings
