If Sandra is there you bet your bottom dollar it'll be great!

WOW So many replies I will try to answer you all tell me if I miss anything.

christian_soldier, Yes they do believe that Jesus is a created being NOT the eternal Creator, they also believe although it is not taught publicly, that God the father came to earth and had sexual relations with Mary (who is also one of his children by their doctrine) and that is how Jesus was conceived. They do believe that God the father has at least one wife they used to say more but they are trying very hard to get away from the polygamy thing. They don't pray to her or worship her she is a much lesser being in their doctrine.

Potluck, I love Utah lighthouse! Sandra Tanner is a wonderful woman and for those that don't know she is the great granddaughter of Brigham Young the second leader of the LDS church. Here is a link to their website: http://utlm.org/

waitinontheLamb, great post and so true it is very had to reach a hardcore Mormon. Tell me are you in Utah by any chance? It would be cool to know I'm not the only Utah-Christian here. Also I praise GOD that you where able to come out of Mormonism, my wife was LDS when we got married, but has since given her life to the LORD as well.

This is my first post on this site. I am also a "recovering Mormon". I have not been married in the temple. but as a teenager I was baptized for the dead.
I live in Salt Lake, and have visited ULM on West Temple.

MY heart is for the Mormon people. They truly do not know how lost they are. My whole family are Mormons. I have been saved for over 20 years and they still think I am going through a phase!! My heart breaks when I hear my sister say "Of course we are Christians. Jesus Christ is the name of our church!"
I attend CCSL as well. So small world. :D

Thanks Misfit, et al.

I'd be interested in your comments at our Conversation with a Mormon series, if you can find the time to wade through it.

I just read the first page, and I'll tell ya it's a typical Mormon response. You see they are "trained" to respond just like that, you will never get much more out of a TBM (true blue Mormon) especially if they are a return missionary. I'll finish reading it when I have a little more time.

Welcome to the Forums, jorjean.

Also Curtis, I hope our butting heads in that other thread wasn't taken personally. It wasn't my intention to argue with you.

You've been here a long time; you know how I can be. ;-)

Jorjean, Welcome in sis. See you tomorrown night?

To all, Jorjean is one of my best friends. She was someone who went through my leaving and going back into mormonism. Funny story. When I returned, she did not know I was doing so but just showed up at Calvary for Wed. night study and someone said "Jorjean, look who is here." To this, at the top of her lungs, she said, Hey it's my favorite born again mormon. I thought I would die. But then we cried together and all was good.

My Lord is so faithful. All to Him.

Vic, I have no issue with a little head butting. You too know how I am. We are brothers and I love you.

Well we welcome both of you back to the Family... and to this little dysfunctional family of ours on the web.

What waitinontheLamb has not told you is what an awsome witness he is for Christ !! He is quit the evangelist. He is at the mall and at temple square, and at planed parenthood. I am very happy to call waitinontheLamb my friend.

All glory to Jesus. Were it not for Him I would be bellied up to a bar somewhere or downloading porn.

There is nothing outside Jesus that is good in me. I go because I love Him and He has given me the strength. How could I not after all He has done for and in me even though I have shunned Him and turned away from Him so many times. I deserve death and hell yet He gives me life and heaven. What an amazing, wonderful God.

I am not a good witness. I just hope I plant some seeds and that through something I say or do, my Lord will be exalted.

Love you sis.
