Bible Study Moses was perfect---Adam was only good?

I have to admit that you did wind up making a good point there. It's impossible to sin if you don't know what sin is. Hence why I believe all babies (probably young children as well) and animals go to Heaven since they don't know any better.
The bible is silent on animals in,heaven .

On children that still is not even close,Adam had no,before the fall.inclination like that .Adam and eve both spoke .fully, aware,

Jason,
Children are not aware of sin until they become of an age where that they COULD understand what sin is.

God does not impute individual sin to those that are not aware of it.
It's Augustine that came up with Original Sin and what a very bad doctrine it was.
Even the Catholic Church no longer can agree with it because it's so severe in its teaching.

Read what I said ,children may not by nature know or understand ,but they still act selfish etc,did Adam before the fall?

Genesis 6:9
9These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man,
blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.
My point is this, and Strong's bears this out. Why did Moses call Noah perfect, but Adam only good?
Adam probably was only called good because of his disobedience of God in the garden. He would have been good because of his Godly nature, but Adam made a huge blunder.
Noah was blameless and perfect according to human standards. Blameless people are people that cannot be considered sinful according to men. It doesn't say he was sinless, blameless and sinless is not the same thing according to scripture.

Hi, I think I never welcomed you to the forum.
It's good to have you here...you're interested in a lot of teachings.

The above is insteresting.
Jesus said to be perfect like our Father in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:48

I always thought of this as a goal....there is no one good but our Father in heaven was also said by Jesus....so is there a discrepancy? No. All men are born with the sin nature so no one is good as God would call good. We can only strive to be as He would want us to be.

So, yes, perfect can also mean blameless and perfect in a human sense or standard.
I'm sure Noah must have sin, but to others he must have seemed very different, very righteous --- right with God.

And you're right...sinless and blameless are different.
Maybe you could explain this for those reading along that may not know.

Adam was part of the creation that God declared to be good. As he was the first man to sin he is the only man apart from Jesus to deserve being called 'good', after him all humanity was alienated from God.
So Noah while he might have been called good was in essence a sinner.
He like every one following Adam needed to offer sacrifices for sins.

Adam was very good...Gen 1:31
31 And God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good.

And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Did you see my post no. 86 replying to Prycejosh1987 ?
It's in regards to the word PERFECT for describing Noah.
I think the other member made a good point.

I'm certainly not going to be dogmatic on this but I'm beginning to believe It is in reference to Noahs linage...DNA...had not been corrupted by the fallen angels as possibly described in Gen 6:1-4.

I agree with you and I'm not willing to take a stand on Genesis 6:1-4; although I'm sure we all have our beliefs.

I'll say, however, that the lineage of Noah cannot be the cause if ALL MANKIND fell due to Adam.
Was Noah not a man? Then he was definitely affected by the sin of Adam.

Noah was a man who sins because of Adam. Adams linage started with 2. Our linage starts with 6...Noahs sons and wives..is then reduced to 2...Adam and Eve.

I read this twice and I don't understand it.
Sorry.
Our lineage starts with Adam.
Adam is the representative of ALL mankind.
