This may be true, but this does not mean that anything that is ridiculed ends up being accepted as truth. My friends ridiculed my teenage ambition of becoming a professional baseball player. They said I lacked the strength, co-ordination, and speed to ever achieve this goal.John said:All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. And of course, they were right. So just because something is ridiculed does not make it true.
Or another analogy. People say that all great artists are misunderstood. That may well be. But that does not mean that if you are misunderstood, you must be a great artist.
Perhaps you are a lousy artist who is misunderstood.
