I must be getting old, lol. I'm just amused how long this thread has been here. Wow, we are talking about a time back when The Lord of the Rings had just come out on video, lol. The movies back then people were referring others to watch, lol. Love it

I liked The Count of Monte Cristo. 2002

Also liked many of the original movies that are remade now.

My favorite monster movie as a kid, and still reigns supreme, is War of the Gargantua's. Better translated, War of the Frankenstein's.

My favorite. Talos in Jason and the Argonauts.
When I was a little feller, in 1967, I remember waking up very early one morning while it was still dark because I was sick and my dad was watching this in the living room on television. Scared me to death, lol.

I remember that. They killed him with the reverse of the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. Drained his oil. :shapya

Funny, I couldn't tell anyone of a good movie made after 2000.

The last movie I watched in a theatre was King Kong in 2005. I was disappointed. I liked the original black and white one that they used to play on Thanksgiving day every year.

There used to be block busters every summer. What happened to them? I still to this day remember seeing Jaws, Star Wars, Rocky, etc. at the theatres. Those were good movies for a hot summer day to sit in a air conditioned theatre. I looked forward to those summer blockbusters every year.

Even Disney was making good stuff back then. Remember Kurt Russell in the Strongest man in the world? :popcorn

Forgot, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou".

Very good movie. Some Greek mythology but very entertaining. Love the music. This was my introduction to blue grass. I've since become a fan of Alison Krauss and Union Station. Love the sound of the Dobro too.
