I have my parents back, in a big big way. Its all thanks to Jesus. I was a hot mess, and they'd gone above and beyond already, and...for a while there, I think they were trying to come up with some socially acceptable way to get rid of me. State mental hospital would have been something of a long shot, but...possibly do-able, in my situation. And now...
We're a "functioning family unit!" I'm so happy. God is Good! God is Love. I Praise God for His mercy. and...
I ask that you pray for my parents. They're good people. I don't pretend to know the state of their salvation. I think they're both burned on church, and I cannot say I blame them. dad references Jesus now and then, in pre-meal prayers. I'm thankful. Mama...??? she walks the walk in terms of helping family (yes, that goes 2x for me) and the needy, caring for and about "the least of these," etc., but...
I don't know her actual -beliefs- when it comes to God. I don't talk about it too much with her. She's been seriously burned by church people, especially church ladies, and now...blah. She does some volunteer work, now that she's (thankfully...) retired. Both she and dad would now and then take a personal interest in people with needs close to home, and...honestly, they kinda got burned on that, too. anyway....
yup yup. they're -wonderful- people, and in terms of being quality human beings, they're top notch. I just want them to truly know and love Jesus. and...
I also want them to make some friends, somehow. dad's still working a somewhat hi-pressure job in a political climate, but even so...it'd be nice if they could make some friends and such.
so...there you go. thanks, y'all.
