[__ Prayer __] my testimony from aghanistan

The tours are down to 12 months.. special ops and special forces get 6 month tours (with 6 months off in between)

For active duty, it depends on your unit..but it's approx. a year in between yours.. sometimes a little longer

within keeping opsec, that not much downtime, its been 4 yrs for most in unit, some have volunteered to go, others moved to another and were voluntold.

Kimberly, while you're in Afghanistan, will you please encourage your fellow soldiers to pray for a victory in the Middle East and a revival at home? And please encourage each other to spread the Gospel to villiagers! As Christians, this is your opportunity to be a light to the rest of the world. Don't hide your light!
I'm curious, by the way, do soldiers often talk about God on and off the battlefield? I heard that war makes people think about God.

some do some dont. i did and some asked, mainly the locals asked us about jesus in secret. If you share the gospel openly to the locals, they can be hostile or if they do recieve the gospel and have left islam. They can get beat up.

perhaps i should tell the story of the two marines who were in nangalam, one was killed the other wounded.

two marines while on patrol failed two were there iba vest while en route to an op, they were fired upon the taliban both were hit, one was killed immediately, the other wounded. He had to watch the taliban unload an ak-47 into the head of his buddy's body. He played and survived, he watched them strip his fellow marine, and they even stole the picture of his family(if i recall correctly).

He was sent back to main area where i was stationed at. He was treated and did recover, while in the clinic his 1sg, a lay chaplain and marine 1sg asked him if he wanted to know jesus. He refused, he said that he didnt need him.

So , sadly to some, even the point of death wont budge them, pray for these.
