I don't see anything in Revelation that says "false religion" is the Whore.

You do understand the book of Revelation is a giant code book given unto us by God the Father, who sought to clock things from worldly people, just as Jesus told the Disciples that is why he used Parables, so the world hearing could not understand. Notice in vs. 7 the Angels says come I will show you the Mystery (question mark or secret) of the Woman (Harlot)and the Beast (Government Entities) she rides. So, this has not been a Mystery in 2000 years. So, what is THE MYSTERY? Well, they told you, the Angel explains it and the Vision explains it, WATCH: The Mystery or Secret is a Header not a clue or descriptor

So, these are merely Three Descriptors describing the Harlot as All False Religion of all time.
